Timing is important in gambling because it would give you a chance to minimize your losses if you quit at the right time but timing would not apply in winning because if we are winning and we know that we do not rely on luck we will always gamble and win consistently.

It is impossible to beat the house in luck based because most of the people trying their luck on dice game so that is main reason to get busted in the long run there, i think so get start with low amount it is like to make donation to the house and only high rollers making profit there.

I think so everyone lose in long term because majority of the people don't have large bankroll to play on gambling site that is the main reason to lost all of their money to the house edge, only few people still making profit from a long time by maintaining a good bankroll.
