curious how with different model things change, i have the exact same setting but my g1 gaming, don't go to 850mv/1880 core

Yeah i always seems to get more clock than others with similar settings, I'm suspecting that the EVGA FTW 1070 with his double 8pin input for power is able to run better clock with lower TDP than other cards, but so far i wasn't able to confirm this 100% just seems to be it. Still with 80% that guy should hit alot more than 1500mhz Sad

yeah but i don't like 2x8 or 6 pin card, because they require you to buy more cable that no psu have in default

so got my Palit Jetstream 1070 today and started testing. Using MSI Afterburner to set clocks. Stuck in a little problem though. Eventhough i set +150 core and +600 memory and 80% power my GPU clock gets stuck at base and isnt boosting. memory gets overclocked in the same time. Any1 an idea? or maybe i should switch the bios switch to position 2 on the card itself? mining at 355 - 375 sol and it is jumping around. GPU clock ist stuck at 1506 mhz. maybe use another tool? thx in advance

Have you checked if the card was running latest bios ?
Screenshot of the afterburner setting ?

BIOS Checked, is the latest one available from Palit

GPU core just stucks at 1506 and only sometimes goes up

That's normal... Its because you have the power set at 80 so it needs to underclock the card to stay under that power usage.

It's normal that the card get throttled with less power but it shouldn't be this low.

Mine for example

GPU core is around 1900Mhz @60% TDP, with 80% it should be close to 2100Mhz with that overclock

One idea i have is click the little chain link at the left in between the power limit & core clock slider bars and increase the temperature limit, even if  your card run cooler than the limit, maybe the card throttle itself to not hit it. Could try to increase vCore too.

more infos ?

GPU ? how many of them ?
Overclock ?

This much reject is usually far too much overclock, have you tried stock clock ?

I suspect his difficulty settings are wrong.. wanna make a bet?

that is also a possibility indeed  Wink wonder still if the difficulty was too high, if we would saw as much rejected share than showed in the log. Can it does that with too low dificulty as well ? Also he seem to get alot of error 46, this is the one i get when i OC too much, but you are right, let's check all the basics.
will add it to my post

have 46 code error or a lot of reject share on suprnova after some time.version 0.1.
Same here, it not had happened before.
A lot of rejected share on Suprnova, I was not monitoring so look what happened:

Thanks for the info. I will do the necessary tests. This occurs after restart of threads?

error occure after some time after miner start.via any period of time, but usually not immediately.

so i would need to go back to 100% power in order the GPU clocks go up to boost zone? or how can i endorse it?

Hello all, I just got into mining about a week ago, spent alot of nights up late reading and trying to understand.  I decided on my first rig and after trying lots of different coins, algos and software i wanted to give an update on what I have.

Win 10 pro x64
Let nvidia experiance update drivers
MSI z97 gaming 5 board
Intel Celeron
2 x ASUS gtx 1060 3gb
1 x PNY gtx 1060 3gb
CORSAIR 750 mod PSU

Best first post 2017 so far, nice to see there still are people who actually read. I see you have done your homework, nice rig and plenty of free pcie slots...

Welcome bughatti!

Thanks, that is a much appreciated and needed comment.  All the reading on many forums, I have come across many naysayers and even a few at work I spoke with today who thinks it is pointless to mine at home.  Granted maybe you cant make 100's of dollars a day like you could at the beginning of bitcoins but from my calculations of my rig with 8 cards only using 30$/month in power I can make over 200 to pay my electric bill, Id say that's a win.

Im still in testing phase so it may be a few weeks before im stable on something.  The one thing I have not tried is installing ubuntu or EthOS.  I think once I want to pass the 7 card gpu I will have to as I have heard that windows does not like more than 7.  We shall see.  Im going to build a rig chassis this weekend, parts I can get from Lowes.  Lots of instructions on the net.

I decided to give the new nicehash miner a try today from here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/nheqminer-open-source-free-cuda-zec-gtx-1070-400-sols-miner-by-nicehash-1747789.  I have to say its pretty nice but I am not really seeing it outperform EWBF all that much.  Both I have scene bounce between 600 to 1k with all 3 cards so I would have to do a true 24 hour earnings test to see.  I dont know if the bounce is normal or not.  The cards I bought are all OC edition so when I try to crank them I get crashes.  I am content now with them as they are especially only using 75 to 80 watts each and I found them all used for under 200 a piece.  If I get really brave after a few months I might try to buy 7 pci splitters, 2 800w PSUs and try to get 14 of these running in ethOS.

Doing some reading I have sort of decided on 2/3 main coins to mine, eth and zcash/classic.  Seems many say AMD is the better for eth so if I go down the road of a second rig in a few months I might go with rx470's if I can find used ones cheap enough.

Let me save you some longer nights - shoot for 6 cards if you are running nvidia on the z97 board from MSI.  7 is possible with the splitter but a nightmare to get going / maintain.

none just run the miner two times (not closing the first one)

Ok. That explains the double batch comments I saw on other pages before.

I tried launching a new one while keeping the old but that didn't last. I re launched it 2 times from scratch  and so far it looks like both windows each reported half the solutions until one crashed, the other picked up the slack but it crashed too now. The same OC settings and power target worked on nheqminer but with about 4 less sol/sec

reducing my GPU clock by 25 makes it run stable and seems to drive the Sol/s down to where nheqminer would be on the same power target. Suppose I have the space with EWBF to crank the power up a bit more

I just switched from NiceHash to EWBF. It was mining just fine on Suprnova and than suddenly it just gave me this error saying some workers have stopped and restart attempts

use 2x threads you card boost more and you OC is high and threads crash due unstable OC
if you have 2x threads card will boost less and will be more stable, but its due your OC settings not the miner fault

I am a bit illiterate with coding these bat files so I don't know what this 2 thread thing is. Which code line is that?

Last couple of versions have been flagged for Trojans latest is Detplock anyone else get this?  Maybe False Positive?

Windows defender just did that to me actually. I don't know what settings I can use to block that from happening besides letting the defense down completely. Not an issue while I am not using the computer for anything else at least
