I don’t understand why they need it. It is another matter to ban some dubious projects or financial pyramids. People, on the contrary, need to be generalized to modern technologies.

May be because cryptocurrency is not regulated in Russia and cryptocurrency traders and miners do not pay taxes. But there are a lot of methods to avoid a blocking, using proxy, VPN, Tor.
