Well, one thing that is lacking is the fact that exchanges will not sign any Bitcoin address for you as proof that you own that Bitcoin address. So when someone ask you to sign an address for some reason, then you will be unable to do that.

The other thing is that exchanges own all coins deposited to them, because they own the private keys to all addresses where coins are deposited. When there is a hard fork, people will only receive free coins linked to these addresses, if the exchange makes the decision to pay that to the users.   Roll Eyes

pieces only intended for the owner of the exchanger, does not guarantee safe or not. Everything may happen, but I suggest that you choose the old exchanger so it has gained credibility as an exchanger

The main problem for exchanges is withdrawal problem. Like you have to withdraw minimun 0.10 of ETh . It's one of the reason , I have few eth stock in exchanges.  Because of this issue I am not able to sell my altcoins.

The most common problems you may face is security issues. Recently we have seen that two exchanges has been hacked within a short span of time. So, I think this is a major issue to look on.

Besides the security issues which everyone is aware of, there are also other problems. The first problem with which we are all acquainted is the problem with the registration. Not all exchanges have the same set of rules when registration starts. Banks can also become a big problem when they won't process bank transfers that are related to the Bitcoin-related business. There are many cons which the crypto holders are struggling with when dealing with the exchanges. The worst thing that can happen I absolutely the hacking of the certain exchange; and even bigger fail is if you don't transfer your funds prior the hack. Every exchange has its cons and pros and it is for users to decide in the end which exchange will they choose. There will always be problems with exchanges ( The exchange users should find the solution prior to the problem ).

There has been a lot of hacking so don't put in all your coins and tokens in one exchange.  And please dont leave it all on the exchanges. After you trade, take it out.
Security is really the problem right now because of hacking from place to other places, and people who knows cryptocurrency are panicking around the world. Higher fees doesn't mean a good and secured exchange so don't trust much your exchanges always play on the safe side withdraw as long as possible.

Usually the bigger fee is used by an exchange for their customer to make them confident. It's because with the bigger amount of fee, the transaction will more quickly.
But about the safety about your funds, I suggest to invest in local exchange, don't put your huge capital on exchange which you don't ever to meet their office in your country.

Exchange sites need to address the recent issues. As an investor, we want our money to be secure and want to invest safely. If they are really safe from hackers I am ok to pay more fees.

the biggest problem that we are facing with exchanges is the fact that they either scam you or they get hacked and go bankrupt. they may also say they were hacked but in reality they have scammed you. for example Bittrex which used to be one of the biggest altcoin exchanges scammed thousands of users selectively last year and stole their money.

mostly some exchange withrawals fees are very high e.g IDEX exchange, wen trading now does it mean that it is safe and secured for trading?
having higher or lower fees have nothing to do with being safe for trading!

Yeah. It's not about high fees or lower fees. You need is to be safe, in terms of trading you should know that you don't need to keep all your coin in one exchange , because scammers are always there and you need to aware from that.

We can't overcome the technical issues that each exchange are having because it need to be solved on their side and not in out part. The only thing we could do is be cautious and choose wisely when searching for a good exchange to start trading with. You should be able to follow their social media account so you can be somehow updated to the latest happenings in their platform like if there are any issues currently.

An important thing to always note is that no exchange is safe, hence , never store your assets or investments on an exchange because of security issues and hacking is a major problem being faced by mostly all exchanges.

You just don't invest your coins in any exchange. You should be careful, some coins are prone to hacking. Hacking is a major problem with exchanges so that your money do not grow wings Grin

Well more withdrawal fees doesn't mean that the exchange is better or secured . It doesn't come with the price. So I think ask for reviews in various forum to know about the exchanges.

I don’t have any issue or encountered problems on exchanges that I always used in trading. Maybe because I’m using a user friendly, very popular and on top three in ranking. Binance and hit-btc works for me, so do try using them as it will be worth it. But with this two if I have to choose only one then I go with Binance all time.

Transaction fees is not an issue with me when the security and trust on something is mattered.

Reviews and biased advertising will tell you different in real situation because experience will teach you what is best.

Advice# (don’t use exchanges as a wallet, withdraw funds that you won’t used to trade)

The exchange issues ranges from high transaction fees, the snail like pace new account verification, interfaces that are not user friendly and so is difficult navigating it, data of traders and investors are not well protected against hack, unprofessional support staffs etc

hi all,
i want to know the problems involve in most exchanges and how can we overcome such problems.
mostly some exchange withrawals fees are very high e.g IDEX exchange, wen trading now does it mean that it is safe and secured for trading?
please i need your idea or oppinion.

It is true that so many exchangers have high transaction fee and sometimes I'm having second thought of withdrawing my fund after I trade because of the fee, but I guess it is more safer to withdraw than to hold your btc or eth in any exchangers just to make sure that your fund will not vanish. Acutally we cannot avoid the transaction fee with any exchangers because I assume it is where they get their operational expenses like the maintenance of the website, payment with admins and tech support, etc.. As long as the web site is safe and our fund is safe then never mind the fee because it is necessary since exchangers are business as well.
