When the period starts you will have X number of posts. Then at the end of the period, when he starts paying, you will have Y number of posts. He will subtract X from Y to get the posts you made during the period and he will pay the BTC.
For example: I have 900 posts when the period started. When period ends I have 920 posts. So he will do 920-900=20. Then he will pay for that posts.

If this is true you won't get paid for posts in period where you posted less than minimum posts, which is prolly answer to question
