You clearly don't understand the purpose of cryptocurrency or what is going to move it forward. If you believe that centralization is the key to your security, then there is no reason for you to be using Bitcoin. If you would rather go to an exchange, then do that, and do not waste your time posting in my thread. When I head to the marketplace on the forum, I don't just pop into random threads saying "Hey, I'm not going to buy this", because this is unproductive and unhelpful.

I would be perfectly happy to use an escrow, and in this regard there are people to be held accountable and security for both parties. This is for the users that realize centralized exchanges get hacked and lose all of their BTC or ETH more often than an escrow goes south around here. You need to use to correct words when you are typing, because it is near impossible to read your posts.

I don't know if this is something there is a need for. I just wanted to share something that I can do fairly easily if anybody else has obstacles in their way. If you have BTC or ETH and would like ETH or BTC I can happily exchange between the two for you.

I'd like to offer a minimal fee service, just enjoy having something to do that might earn me something while helping someone.

We can probably keep it simple and we'll build from suggestions and lessons learned.

Code:
Have : BTC / ETH
Amount :

Want : ETH / BTC

We can discuss publicly, or through PM whichever better suits your needs. Looking forward to see how this goes. I can escrow funds if anybody is uncomfortable (meaning I put my funds in an escrow while we deal, so your funds are secure), I don't have endless funds, but I'm open for negotiation.

i would have but since this is a decentralized system we can't hold anyone responsible for any loose of money transactions. well i would rather go for an exchange that changes eth and btc, at list this will be more suitable and stable for.. with all the aids like 2FA authenticator or exchange and all emails verifications will give me full assurance about what i m trading....
in this your process is called black trading anything can happen along way.

What does any of that mean?

You leave a question mark after saying your name is Maxim, are you asking me if your name is Maxim? How am I supposed to know?

I'm not interested in your strange project, that holds no significance. That has nothing to do with currency exchange, or what I'm offering in the thread. You're just promoting your terrible project.

I really would like for people to not come into my thread an advertise any website or exchange they can think of that offers something similar. We understand that there are many ways for users to exchange their coins, but I am simply offering an alternative for users that do not feel they have been sufficiently serviced by their current options. I've received many PMs  from users wishing to keep things anonymous, private, secure, etc.

There has been at least half a dozen people recommending different services, so at this point there need not be anymore input in that area. If you're interested in a 1:1 exchange at ether.price rates then hit me up today only. Today I'll be doing 0% fee, 1:1 exchanges until I've gotten rid of my 1 ETH or until I've gotten rid of .1 BTC. Got rid of the 1 ETH Wink

There are a million and one exchanges to use to do this, why should anyone use you? and I do not think you are trust worthy enough to be an escrow but everyones gotta start somewhere right. But jumping into escrowing is not the way to go

to be escrowing, you must have a high trust, because without it, maybe you can not be used for big deals ,, and maybe just fools who use your escrow with a large number of transactions

I'd recommend ShapeShift when converting BTC to ETH and vice versa.
I find it a lot easier than sending coins to an exchange and deciding on a buy/sell price.
ShapeShift is as legit as they come and it's got a friendly UI and the funds are deposited very fast.
If you're not a fan of ShapeShift and want an account on an exchange, I'd go with Gdax.

Much appreciated the service and Gator's intention. My best wishes for you to succeed in this service.

If your service is cheap if compare with exchanges then I don't see any reason for members not to use it.
As exchanges have trading fees + withdrawal fees, so it makes a costly deal for low amount exchanges. It would be better to exchange here to reduce the fees imo.

But I'm wondering about the escrow thing, it will increase the cost somewhat.

Good Luck!

I don't mean like China, although it almost feels that way. I mean in the sense that my download speed peaks at a few bytes and bits here and there. It barely loads the forum, and there's no way I'm getting any gaming going. Whenever I try to log into an exchange or boot up any wallet it just times out.

I would disclose my rates publicly, if I knew what they were. Normally I just swap some of my coins, that are not associated with the payment address I provide, through Gemini exchange or other popular exchanges. If this is a problem for any particular client, then arrangements are made, and rates are adjusted. I just swap it for you at whatever Gemini's rate is (pretty spot-on with Preev and ether.price) minus their fee (extremely minimal); if you're feeling froggy then you can leave me a tip beyond that. I'm not expecting to make a profit, and I'll be transparent with all of the exchange rates/fees. Did that answer your question legendster?

Internet seems to be okay today and I have 1 ETH on hand for anyone interested in a smooth easy exchange.

please is it actually secure to exchange BTC or Ethereum with fiat currency online? if it is secure, please what are the procedure? Thanks guys
To have a safe and secure exchange of BTC or ETH with fiat currency, you can use the coins.ph digital wallet if it is available in your country.Registration is free and a friendly-user wallet. You just need to cash in the created wallet using your fiat money and once done, you can simply convert it into BTC or ETH whichever you want.

Restricted Access to internet? You mean like its in China? Where you can't access most websites at all? Like a blanket ban from your ISP? Then yes a VPN is what you need.
You simply sign into the VPN account and then use the internet with the proxy settings they provide. Google it.

Also, I do happen to have some coins that I am currently looking for partners to have it exchanged through a localbitcoins like site, but I am having some difficulties finding interested parties. So I'd like to know your rates, please keep in mind what you're providing is already provided by services like Shapeshift.io

You may be my backup if your rates are right and if you're doing this for a long enough time. Please disclose rates publicly.

Such a great services for those who hate the exchange fees. Do you have any Telegram or Skype to contact you easily when I need to exchange it soon?
I suggest you have a VPN in order to left the restricted internet access behind.

How would a VPN speed up my internet? I am extremely confused, because either I have no clue what a VPN is, or you have no clue what my problem is (even though I've explained it multiple times).

I do not use Telegram, and I do not use Skype. If you are interested in contacting me you can do so through PM or within this thread.

Bump

Considering temporarily closing down shop, since my internet has rendered me unable to access just about any of my wallets, exchanges, computers, programs, etc.

Yes, I was actually referring to your post, but by the time my internet allowed the post to go through apparently you had deleted your request and thrown it in it's own thread. I would love to fulfill this for you, but I cannot access my wallets or exchange accounts due to the extremely restricted internet access I am currently dealing with. I apologize for being a goober and having issues the minute you needed an exchange. If you are still in need once I have things sorted, then I will gladly take care of it for you.

Are you talking about my post or something else?
I saw you connected but did not reply so I assumed you did not want to make the deal (posted it here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/h-15-eth-w-btc-3195858)
If I didn't close it, you can pm me

My internet has been extraordinarily crappy today, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to process this for you as soon as possible. I'll send you a PM in a few minutes and we'll make a deal! Pick an escrow, as well, as long as they are reputable I will have no problem.

It can be secure, but as I have told other people in the past you must define what you mean by secure. I have no clue whether you are speaking about anonymity, if you are speaking about financial security or any number of other concerns. You have to clarify what you are asking or else I am simply guessing.

Exchanging bitcoin is not that difficult so why should we leave the ones we are already used to and start dealing with you?

A fair question. I am not suggesting that you leave any exchange situation that is currently working out for you in every way. That would be a very tough sell, because some exchanges have everything an individual is looking for. I'm just trying to offer another option, for anyone that would find it more convenient, useful, secure or any other adjective they prioritize. For example, there are tons of users that are not interested in using big company exchanges due to the horrors of victims past. There have been tremendous security leaks, there are sovereign citizens that are not interested in having their information transmitted to any government agencies. Bitcoins and dollars have been lost by the billions from disappearing exchanges that have seemed reliable and secure, or that go bankrupt and begin holding all withdrawals.

The list goes on and on for reasons why someone would choose to use an individual as an exchange for their coin rather than any particular company. The simple centralization of exchanges is enough to scare away a solid portion of Bitcoin users.

Essentially, if you think that it might work to your benefit then I encourage you to contact me and negotiate a deal. As long as I'm not losing money, I will do it for you is basically my mindset; that alone is very different from any exchange, individual or corporation. Consider me a volunteer exchanger, if you pay me a reasonable rate along the way I appreciate it, but it's mostly just to give me another thing to do.
