I agree that using the price at the end of the previous year is a mistake, while technically we can use any point of time to compare it to another part of time, we need to understand that moment in the history of bitcoin was very special, it was the moment in which everything aligned itself to allow bitcoin to reach its biggest price yet and it is going to take some time before we see that again.

Well according to my point of view price of bitcoin use to get high and low with demand and supply. Whenever in market bitcoin demand increases price increases itself, now high level investors who were investing in Gold and ICO are switching to bitcoin which is increasing price these days so we can hope for better price in coming future, most of the time we make predictions according to market demand and supply I think, demand is gradually increasing now.

as much as i can agree with you my friend. its funny how the people exaggerated the dips like what you have said, and i can still remember some people said when the price began to rise " bitcoin is alive " , well it doesn't really matter, besides bitcoin is always alive and kicking.

Bull market is not even what anyone should be expecting for now, at least let us have a solid support with bitcoin b=moving sideways for a long time which is referred to as consolidation and once we break out from that consolidation trend, that is when we should expect to see some bull run on bitcoin but for now, I really would not be too ready for that. So far, bitcoin is not looking bad although with a little bit of pull back until further notice anyway. We just see how things turn out.

I expect and i will not be amaze that bitcoin and ethereum will still dominates cryptocurrency for many years to come. They are way to much ahead of other cryptocoins but there are many altcoins that also has potential to rise high at the market like neo, litecoin, dash and iota. They will be more valuable in the future.

A lot of people, investors from users of digital currencies are saying this same predictions, the only differences is the price mark that it will reach.

For now, as the price is not still that high, I will continue to earn Bitcoin as long as I can. I am joining and investing on ICOs that I know has a potential giving me a good profit in the future, for the people or investors that do the same, be careful since there are a lot of projects that are only scam.

I expect that BTC will still remain dominant with LTC & ETH behind it. One of the tokens I predict to well is https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-meet-the-people-making-crypto-mainstream-3085831 , if they succeed in bringing the masses into crypto I believe they should do well with their arbitrage exchange and insuring crypto.

I really like to believe that bitcoin can actually step up to 60,000 USD this year, i mean who doesn't. But with the huge hit that Bitcoin took this year, maybe we're lucky if we see a 17,000 USD price again. But then again, if I'm wrong then I'll be ecstatic, if not then expectations are set low so there's not much of a disappointment there.

Good thoughts and I agree with them. Now many are waiting for a decrease in the price of bitcoin in order to purchase it as cheap as possible. This is a good sign that people have an interest in cryptocurrencies and they want to buy them, but do not buy just because they want to buy as cheap as possible. There is a chance that in connection with the current events by the end of the year we will see new price records.

The prediction to rise I think is possible this year but to reached of about $60,000 is really an impossible prediction and a record breaking history of all times if just in case will comes true.

I think if Bitcoin price crosses $ 10.5 K and if is is able to stay above this level then in the socnd half of this year we will see new Bitcoin records. Also whole market will recover. I think that at the same time, attempts by governments to regulate the cryptocurrencies market will strongly affect the volatility of the entire market. Therefore, stick to the risk management.

Obviously in the long run, bitcoin would go higher than it is now, since it obviously cannot remain stagnant. However, based on your last statement, we have to understand that the higher and higher this year that you have mentioned may not necessarily be the case.

As long as the market is concerned, we will get to see some pretty good sideways movement for the meantime, because we can even start thinking of a bull run that would set us up to a new level of ATH. We still have a lot of days ahead of us anyway. But we can be sure about new ATH to happen within this year 2018. Because when bitcoin will be having price levels near previous peak levels then more people will come to invest and adopt bitcoins. This is an easy prediction anyone can expect.
