I expect it will be worth not more then $10. Bitcoin gold is not bitcoin it is just another altcoin. Bitcoin holder only waiting for segwit2x hard fork not bitcoin gold. The early adopter of bitcoin only care about segwit2x bitcoin gold is a joke they said.

I dont know where the price will start but I do believe it will crash as people are going dump the living hell out this sh!tcoin Cheesy
Always popular in the beginning, then they throw it away quickly. still interesting to wait for. whether to survive and become a coin that will be the ETH rival.

last time there was bitcoin cash fork and people were speculating about the price, they were guessing from $10 up to more than $1000 and all of them were still random guesses. and it is still the same.

price will be determined based on supply and demand. the dump part of BTG will be very different from BCH and the demand also. so it would be impossible for us to predict it. some say it is already being traded in future markets at 0.05BTC and that is nearly $300

Bitcoin Gold makes more sense than Bitcoin Cash. Making bitcoin ASIC resistant is more important than a block size increase since scaling is something that bitcoin obviously needs to do but they're never gonna make it ASIC resistant. So Bitcoin Gold actually offers a different version of the bitcoin protocol rather than just a size difference. And both gold and cash kinda just came out of nowhere when some people decided they were gonna make a fork. But I think Cash had a bit more backing than Gold does. Also as the first bitcoin fork Cash was a bigger deal, now its kinda like oh another lame bitcoin fork to create an altcoin nobody uses, big whoop.

I could see BTG hitting a few hundred dollars on a spike and then maybe settling down to around $100, as BCH settled to $300. Likely just like Cash it won't be used at all and will just be for pure speculation, like the vast majority of altcoins. It'll be a decent coin to sell in november for a little bit more bitcoin.

My guess would be 700 at the start, it will fall to around 400 just after mass sale start, and later it stabilises on around 500-550

You connect believe and expect the bitcoin gold value in 700 USD or 500 USD bro. Now you see the bitcoin cash value more than 500 USD but when the coin splited from bitcoin it was around 700 dollars.
This time splitting bitcoin gold also expect as you wish but the most the speculation thinks that bitcoin gold's value is gonna be initially 300 USD.
However, I don't suggest anyone to invest in bitcoin gold since we may find the dump after the hard fork takes place.

It would be nice to hit that $500 mark people keep talking about, but I doubt it will happen. I'm just hoping I can cash in on a good price before it drops and stabilizes

This is bat country!
People hope that the Bitcoin Cash story will repeat with Bitcoin Gold. To be honest I don't think it will because I can't see any real use for this new coin other than making some money out of thin air. There will probably be some massive manipulation of the market to begin with and a few people will get trapped in the pump&dump but other than this, the price might as well drop to 1$ for what I care.

I suspect the price will start out similar to how Bitcoincash started, I sold that around the $700 mark so that's my estimate.

However at that point in time, bitcoin was worth less than it is now, so the gold could reach $1000 based on current prices.

I think  50$ same as previous post I will sell them immediately with Bitcoin. I think there will be a downfall and after the downfall I buy Bitcoin again.

I think traders will dump it quickly as it is just a copy of bitcoincash. Having some free gold is great but i don't think there will be much buyers demand for it

I think it will be between $200 and $300 but it can be too high or too low in the first days it is available on exchanges.

BTG in my opinion is more important update than BCH: in particular for what it has to offer in preventing the mining monopoly that's been more or less of a concern with BTH lately. As such, I wouldn't think of $60 as accurate prediction: I'd expect it to cost in the ballpark of BCH, with a stretch goal of close to $1K in about three months (but that only if it starts at about $0.6K).

All in all, I think it may be better investment-wise than byproduct-coin of a previous fork. YMMV though! Smiley

Russian hackers stole my legendary account. :(
Since this is a scrypt coin I say it will be worth 3.2x the price of LTC. So I'm guessing that after all the price discovery it will settle at 188.00 usd

I predict $500.  There is a lot of fud going around regarding BTC Gold so it could be obliterated if the whole thing about 200k pre-mine is true.  I hope its worth as much possible but I won't be too down if its not because I really bought my BTC for the BTC...

$500 sounds too high.. this isn't a $10B project.. prob closer to $1B, which would mean ~$50 per BTG.  can link to more info about the premine?  if true then BTG would seem more like a money grab by the devs..

For Bitcoin Gold, the cost of $ 60, in my opinion will be too small. The price of $ 500 is more acceptable for this new coin. I hope that Bitcoin Gold will take a worthy place among other crypto-currencies.
