In the other hand, the website started to work on 2018, but the point is during more than one year after that, there was no sign of the founder and team members. But right now, they put some names and pictures to explain the team behind the project. But why didn't say anything about this team for almost one year? Huh
Founder of Initiative Q has been known since 2018, I don't think that was ever a secret. As mentioned on the website, its Saar Wilf.
Here are few articles about him and Initiative Q from 2018. Right from the beginning he started explaining that it's not a scam. That really tells you everything that you have to know about Initiative Q, when founder has to defend legitimacy right from the beginning. Huge red flag in my eyes, as if it looks like a scam, it most likely is.

Initiative Q Is Not a scam, Not a Cryptocurrency. Founder Saar Wilf Sheds Some Light
Saar Wilf really doesn’t want you to call Initiative Q a pyramid scheme: The Modern Consensus interview

This person claims to work om paypal. then, why there is nothing on about page? And why paypal never noted his name? My strongest theory is he was never working there.
Hm, if you are talking about  Lawrence H White, he is economics professor, I really doubt that he ever worked for PayPal. He is known for supporting cryptocurrencies though for quite some time. Here is an article written by him where he talks mostly about Bitcoin, but mentions Initiative Q as well
https://www.cato.org/blog/bitcoin-after-10-years

He is a bid defensive though when it comes to his involvement in Initiative Q, as seen from this response in the article that criticized Initiative Q
I really hate how these scumbags connect climate change with bitcoin mining and all even after it has been debunked on several occasions.
Yeah those are just buzzwords, that they know people react good at. I mean, who doesn't want to protect the environment, right?

Holy shit this is a scam? My cousin send me this via facebook messenger last night and he said he tried it. I didnt bother to check it though what was inside of that invite link. as Ive browsed this one on scam post just now. I will message him about this wnd probably say sorry that it could be an HYIP project.
Yeah I've seen the same on Facebook too, people sharing this Intiative Q MLM scheme, and it was mostly people that knew nothing about cryptocurrencies, as that's their target audience, people that don't know really how all this functions. And when you add 'free money" into equation, they switch off their brain completely, similarly to Pi Network craze.

Thanks OP for this.

They may very well be sold off site and nothing we can do about that.
I just hope I did seen this earlier. So I assume the money by my cousin enteres could be at risk. Damn scammers!

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
These HYIP/MLM schemes no longer come to this forum to generate buzz because they are getting tagged and now flagged well. No wonder they hired some shill accounts to post those old topics posted by the OP. I saw that the accounts have been inactive, one of them being back in July 2020.

As far as I can say, they wont be coming back with another account here so no use flagging or tagging those older accounts. They may very well be sold off site and nothing we can do about that.

Here are some red flags that I see while perusing their website:
  • Red Flag 1: They start their intro video with the words "We don't want your money." With most cons that I have seen through my life, assuring people that they will not lose something in value is the most basic one because it makes people comfortable for the next thing coming.
  • Red Flag 2: The only way you can join is via invite. That is Pyramiding/Multi Level Marketing 101, you recruit people and the more you recruit in your name then the more money you can accumulate.
  • Red Flag 3: While we are at it, the invite system conditions people to false sense of belonging. It is like a cult where you are accepted and the outsiders are not allowed.
  • Red Flag 4: They claim in their FAQs that bitcoin is solving a non-existent problem, they even say that banks have a robust system (Yeah, robust system against plebs but not at the elite). This sounds like another Bitcoin killer and we all know what happened last time when they claim to be bitcoin killer (Hint: OneCoin).
  • Red Flag 5: With people getting early in line to get their Qs means the first will get more Qs, which makes the currency vulnerable to market manipulation by this Q whales.
I might have missed some of flags but there are still a lot so feel free to go to their site and poke holes.

Description:
Yesterday I saw many people in social media advertising and talking about scam project named Initiative Q promising them free money. Here I'm going to give to some explanation about this project. They promise the users to give them thousands of dollars by just registering on their website. The most important thing is the project is not related to blockchain and bitcoin at all. Even the founders used currency word on their website not cryptocurrency so let's stop naming it "new bitcoin"...
They claim to provide a new payment system better than the current system we use. Even if the really provide a new payment system, why would the product sellers use this system? and since so seller uses this system, no buyer will use this system too.
In the other hand, the website started to work on 2018, but the point is during more than one year after that, there was no sign of the founder and team members. But right now, they put some names and pictures to explain the team behind the project. But why didn't say anything about this team for almost one year? Huh

just randomly I check this person from about page, A professor who got no twitter account and not acceptable linkdin account.

Also, they claim to make the price stable as 1 usd. Then giving out to each person thousands of dollars can't be reasonable. They never said anything about what they actually want to do for developing such project and the progress of this project on their website was not updated after 2018.

On the main pages they said we only ask for your name and email address. While after just a few steps the will ask you to install an application (!) Maybe after a few more steps they will say we may sell you info Grin
What's going to be happen after installing the application? It can be malware to gather and steal your personal information.

Selling personal information from users is one of most profitable job you can find online and in my own idea all they do is to selling your personal information.

In my own idea the method they use is really same as PI network which is already exposed on bitcointalk: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pi-network-a-huge-trapwarning-5237735
