Aston Villa 2:1 Leicester City (Aggregate 3:2). Aston Villa off to the final!

It was a wonderful match with a late winner for Aston Villa in stoppage time. Well this is the same team that Eliminated Liverpool from the competition earlier on... It wasn't certainly a mistake that they eliminated them.

Jubilant Aston Villa fans poured into the pitch after the match, the stewards just had to forcefully whisk players off the pitch. I had never witnessed such a thing before at this level of football  Grin

I think even smaller teams are trying their best in order to advance and win the FA or EFL cup.Shrewsbury played very well yesterday against Liverpool but Liverpool took the game easily as the draw will be replayed.I see good grief from Southampton too which didn’t lose to a strong team like Tottenham.

Manchester United - Tranmere ( 6 - 0 )

the first goal that Manchester united scored must have shaken the tranmere team psychologically, and then Manchester United scored the second goal (man I blame the tranmere goalkeeper) and third goal that the manchester united Scored was also the fault of the tranmere goalkeeper, the stance he made to avoid the goal was a real joke, even the Manchester united coach (Solskjær) laughed of the situation and it was visible the face of disappointment of the coach of the tranmere. The fourth goal was also the fault of the goalkeeper and a little of the fault was of the defenders of the tranmere. About the fifth goal, It was a joke that the goalkeeper of the tranmere did it again, was badly positioned and lacked attention... (Alex ferguson show his happiness in this game) Grin

The Man City vs Man Utd League Cup semi final is basically decided, City have a good lead, I don’t see United turning that round.
3 1 is actually a very comfortable lead for Manchester city going into the second leg and that should be enough for them to progress into the final, but with how shaky and erratic city defense has been this season, then I may not give it to them as of yet, if Manchester United can stop City from scoring in the second leg, then anything can happen, but can they still city from putting the ball in the net at the etihad  Huh
The Leicester vs Villa tie is more interesting, I think Leicester would have a much better chance to beat City in a potential final so I will root for them.
For the neutrals, a Leicester Vs City final would be better, but I'm sure City fans will be praying for Villa in the final if they make it there, as for the English Fa, no doubt for more publicity they'll also want to see either City/united Vs Leicester in the final.
Marcus Rashord  of man Utd who should have been a potential threat to Man City shaky and erratic defence is down with injury and presently Man Utd had not playing well, the goal margin is wide difficult fir them to cause an upset.
Meanwhile I expect leceister beat Aston Villa in the other pairings I believed they are back to their winning ways after some back to back defeats in EPL.

Manchester City may have an erratic defence but Manchester United attack is horrible at this moment, and if they don’t buy Cavani and Fernandes then they won’t win this match. @gabbie yea Rashford will be sorely missed and it’s all Ole’s fault, because he played Rashford despite knowing that Rashford needed rest to recover for important matches ahead.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/01/15/backfired-ole-gunnar-solskjaer-rues-decision-bring-marcus-rashford/
Another reason Solksjaer is at fault is mainly because he let some attacking players like Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez leave without replacing any of them which is really unreasonable.  Now our attack is lacking it's potency and I will say toothless especially with Rashford currently injured.

I do not think it was ole fault that players were not replaced, but I felt he failed to convince lukaku to stay,

Sanchez was a good riddance,
The injury to rashford was new, then it was decided he fixes existing and new injury together for a fitter rashford.

It's gonna be poor vs good performance till the end of the season. Don't get your hopes high

Tranmere vs Manchester United
Seeing this match is not very interesting because seeing the soccer field is very dotted at all, this disturbs the view in my opinion and is really uncomfortable at sight.
For me Man. United will more easily score more go.

United need to score first. So that can happen. But I doubt it with the lineup they have. No established goalscorer BUT if they put pressure on the the City backline they can have freekicks or even penalties almost for sure.

I'm a neutral so please. Leicester in the final! Villa will only lose to whoever they meet.

Manchester will defend its victory and Manchester United must win because it has lost in the first leg but what is relied on Man. United if Marcus Rashord then I think this needs a new attacker in order for Man. United are even more aggressive.
Cavani and Fernandes for Manchester United there is currently no agreement.

Hopefully City don't win it AGAIN but they're actually meeting United in the next stage so I'm hoping they get knocked out. Not that I hate City but they shouldn't always win it every year. I'd really love to see a League One team go to the finals. Who knows, maybe even a non EPL final seeming like all the teams in Big Six are doing so bad this is a good time to beat them in cups!
If I'm not mistaken City have 6 time streaks champion the FA Cup, same with you will boring if we see the same club always get thropy and the competition will more interesting when the champion is different club every seasons.

The aggregate score is 3-1 and will now compete again and in fact Manchester City's position is secure with that score and in the match in the second leg Manchester will continue to add victories again.
I am sure this season the EFL trophy will be won by Manchester City.

You mean 6 times in a row?? Not true at all. Manchester City has won it 6 times but not in a streak. Here are the last 6 winners of FA Cup:
2013–14 Arsenal
2014–15 Arsenal
2015–16 Manchester United
2016–17 Arsenal
2017–18 Chelsea
2018–19 Manchester City

As far as Manchester United is concerned City have already gone to the finals and it doest look pretty for anyone who's going to face them, Aston Villa and Leicester City are all not going to be a problem for them but with the FA CUP it's still early . Manchester City are at least guaranteed the Carabao Cup this season.

They should give chance to other teams to win this year, but if the performance is consistent and stable; no wonder the probability of winning will come. If League one team could defeat City, it would be the historical event for their efforts in winning for the finals. Hopefully, the results is going to be fair and smooth for their future games.

Manchester City will only be faced with Fullham, of course it will be easy for Manchester to win again and also the FA Cup champions this season if their performances are good.
I just want to see the performance of Manchester City beating Liverpool in the FA Cup and the major leagues.
