Reddcoin (RDD) was created to be used in social networks. It is a nice idea and might work if implemented correctly.

Actually the idea of crypto currencies has already touched a lot of market in fact even a resturant, online shopping, and even factories of some countries are looking into adaptation of bitcoin and idea of implementing an cashless economy so I am really not surprise if time will come that even in social media cryptos will be involve, I would actually love the idea the digital currencies will going to be our main currency in our economy.

Facebook has noticed blockchain
Tencent, the Chinese internet giant behind QQ and WeChat, has partnered with Intel and detailed their plans for blockchain. They’re taking steps and now we can expect Facebook to push back.
Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg published a Facebook post on January 4th outlining his personal goals for 2018. Top of the list was fixing issues of people misusing Facebook. He offered encryption and cryptocurrency as an antidote, saying
“I’m interested to go deeper and study the positive and negative aspects of these technologies, and how to best use them in our services.”
I was a bit excited to see the above news. Many companies started to use blockchain technology. They realized good things, but they encountered many troubles, such as government authorities, some systems, or obstacles from bank regulators.

If facebook issued a cryptocurrency, and the coin has usability as profit sharing from advertising results

I will transfer all my crypto assets to FACEBOOK Coin,

Because it is certainly more secure and under control. Who does not know Mark Zuckeberg Facebook? He is a young businessman with lots of experience

For $ 50 I would have bought some new fresh crypt. Of course it's risky but the amount is not so big that you may be very afraid. With more sum of money you need to be more aware.

Facebook is a distinctive advertising tool for any cryptocurrency. Facebook is one of the largest social network in the world. In combination with the bounty campaign, the effect will be quite high, I'm just sure of it.

If I have to be honest for now I do not see facebook in the crypto world mainly because of the regulations, or the lack of regulations. Without regulations if facebook issue coin that have someting to do with one of the world largest social media...this will be very boldly and risky. I think that facebook will enter in the crypto world once there are regulations, before that it will be very risky for the company to enter.

They tried something called "credits" I think a not a long ago, and they terminated it as an unsuccessful project. So they probably learned some lessons out of it.
WeChat and Kik are one step ahead of facebook I think.
The giants are very cumbersome usually.

I'm not really sure how Facebook could use cryptocurrency. It's a social media platform that people use for free. The only money that changes hands is payment for the adverts - I suppose they could enable bitcoin and other cryptos for that, but other than that, crypto and social media don't really go together. Crypto goes with the banking institutions and with ecommerce merchants.

IMHO, crypto and social media can go together, but the problem is if Facebook gets affiliates with some crypto companies, what is the impact ?
how about facebook user opinion, and if facebook go with crypto it seems no more bounty for facebook  Grin

those crypto company will give it to facebook to handle about those promotions
At least if facebook will try to find a way to work with crypto and then it should be considered as a huge advertise for crypto to the public. I think that only the major coin will be available in the facebook if mark will be accepting crypto as payment. Remember facebook has online game service(3rd party) and not only advertise.

Facebook to blockchain is very possible. CEO of facebook has a good regarding this matter but Facebook will not be the first. Sphere Social now has a platform regarding social media but I think Facebook will boom if ever they have own coin

More and more companies will begin to take notice of blockchain. Already see the high finance industry shifting with Polymath since they're birdging Wall Street to blockchain. Lots of big guys interested and ready for securities. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-08-30/it-s-about-to-become-even-easier-to-issue-blockchain-based-coins

Transnational propaganda in favor of elites.  As Mark Zuckerberg himself self-critically remarked, "it strengthens control over the Internet for its part, allowing corporations and governments to increasingly influence Facebook through society."

I think, Facebook will not accept crypto as a payment method, Mark is a smart guy and he can create something with blockchain technology to impress the world again.

Facebook, telegram, yahoo - thats giants must do amazing promotion and will show to them what is blockchain and how it could be work with monetization system
I know about the Telegram huge ICO but it`s the first time I hear about Yahoo having plans to involve in blockchain, I hope this isn`t just a rumour. Many of us are waiting for the institutional investors to finally bring huge funds into crypto, but in fact we`ll benefit more in if Facebook decides to step in - just because of the awareness it brings, mass adoption will be really fast.

It is awesome for the crypro community to get crypto currencies noted by facebook. I think we will see the blockchain technology being used by facebook in one way or the other. Facebook may even have a crypto currency of its own. This will bring in more users to the cryptocurrency world and we can expect to see more fiat flowing into cryptocurrencies.
