If facebook and google create their own cryptocurrency, this is a new revolution in the crypto world. Because you can definitely understand that facebook and google are two big guys in the technology world, they have the qualifications and the money to make a difference. I hope to see the product of facebook and google sooner.

That would be the dumbest idea ever. Why would they create their own cryptocurrency, instead of using what is already available? Theres already way too many cryptocurrencies out there. I see that as a waste of resources, just a duplicate of what is already out there.

Been watching values of BTC and reading a lot of negative lately. I'm a bit new so I keep my mind open to new Ideas or other opinions. Still the post on Uber accepting BTC as tip is a start. Also I read that Mcdonalds might be into bit coin as well in 2018. One thing is for sure if Cryptocurrecies like BTC is accepted by major companies the like of Facebook and Google, its not about centralizing the currency but accepting that more people are willing to pay, invest and accept Cryptocurrencies for their Value in terms of goods and/or services provided. The more people believe, the more the value increases. Still need to read more topics.

I agree. What exactly will Google & Facebook stand to gain if they develop their own cryptocurrencies?

Google does not accepts payment for any services it offers. I use Google for searching random things and I haven't paid a penny so far. Maybe they will start something like this. Same goes for Facebook. I just hope they don't start charging for making accounts or searching any topic.

I think, they are going to give their employment salary in the form of digital currency. I might be wrong but it is good to hear that they are about to introduce their own digital currency.

These two companies are very familiar among the people in my country. If Facebook and Google create Cryptocurrency of course will not be passed by the people who are here because the important role of both companies is needed by the community here especially if to issue a crypto itself, everyone here will certainly feel the impact of its development. And of course bitcoin prices will skyrocket because bitcoin is the parent of all crypto that exists.

Big companies like facebook do have an opportunity to go in that direction. it could be that the cryptocurrencies they make can be applied in their own systems like to pay advertising bills and also to buy some premium features. of course with it then large companies can easily attract users. This is a consequence, but when I look at this time it is not there at all a scheme that will lead to it, it seems still takes a long time to be able to implement it.

But if all this happens then it will make the world of cryptocurrencies will be more interesting, in my opinion this is not a threat to other coin. This can even help improve the development and also the belief in cryptocurrency. we will see new records, this will be the day that I look forward to sometime in the future.

this has nothing to do with them creating their own cryptocurrency though.
and the rise may not be not as much as you may think. of course it is kind of obvious that if the big companies start accepting bitcoin, the adoption will grow and the news alone will cause a big rise. but it won't be that big because if you look around there are currently big companies like Microsoft that do accept bitcoin payments. maybe not in the most obvious way but they do it. and price never "skyrocketed" because of it!

Your idea is good because of course the price of bitcoins will increase further. Especially if large companies like google and facebook will make their own coins.

Yes it is especially possible that facebook founder Mark Zukerburg also knows bitcoins. Certainly when this happens the price is great in the market.

Hi,

Indeed is large companies such as Fb or Google launch their own crypto-currency, it will hugely affect bitcoin!

Yet, I don't think this will happen for the moment. I guess that these companies have invested in bitcoins, "just in case" but due to the blockchain system, such currency are not really interesting for them. The control is unavoidable, there are tracks left everywhere... And they need fiscal safe places where they can avoid taxes. Bitcoin is not submitted to such taxes for the moment, but if it grows large enough, it will be. And such companies can no longer hide their activities.

So I guess they'd rather see bitcoin die. (But it won't Wink

Both facebook and google will have to keep up with the current competition from the likes of BitClave, Presearch, Nebulas and many others that already have a head start in this technology, and On the business side of things once these guys invest in cryptocurrencies it becomes a new product on the market which is either going to be a hit or a fail. Am sure these tech giants can't wait to explore the power of the blockchain.
