well with the shares prices collapsing I reckon Facebook must have thought long and hard before reaching the decision of entering the crypto market, which I think it was only a matter of time.
They have expressed their interest on blockchain technology before their shares fell.

But that's economical that they have introduced their interest to the technology before the shares fell or they have predicted it so they're looking for a way to increase it somehow.

There's too much interest on blockchain and people start engaging and learning on how this tech works while getting attached to crypto's.
They are starting to explore the usefulness of blockchain right now. Chine and singapore has created a successfull transaction through use the blockchain to the commodity transaction. it has proven if the blockchain give a lot of advantage for them all.

Basically blockchain will be very useful to change the economic and traditional system.
The majority bankers are interesting to explore it right now.
We are still recognizing if they really are "starting" to explore or they really have been dealt on it and starting developing their own use for the technology.

Facebook will do something, just think of their actions.

1st - they have banned ICO related ads regardless if its a legit service or an ICO as long its crypto related.
2nd - they have removed banned to legit crypto related services ads but still remained ban on ICO and scam crypto sites.

This is pleasantly surprising because recently Facebook was going to ban all accounts that are engaged in bounty campaigns. I am glad that such changes have occurred.

The face of the project should be shown as soon as possible.  I perceive something good is going to come out of it.
Sometimes ago someone made a post as regards a project called fazecoin, who reported that it was seen from a source that the project is from facebook, but i quickly debunked it and virtually everyone did. If facebook eventually starts, we would know.

Should facebook really start its own coin, will that be the real adversary for bitcoin?
I also wonder if it is good for the crypto world in itself?

Yes, great developments Smiley. Hope other tech giants follow suit. I know they will, since denying the potential of blockchain would definitely mean they'd miss the boat.

Hope they'll introduce their own currency soon, so mass adoption will go a lot quicker Smiley

This would help increase the market value of the whole crypto market . Which means we can expect that there will be a better future for crypto this coming August.

I dont think facebook is ripe to embrace blockchain for now, they may have done some reshuffle but I doubt Zuckerberg will want to focus on the blockchain, they hold a large chunk of the centralized the social media

Smart move, but not really surprising. Even the biggest companies are well informed about the advantages of blockchain technologies that they would like to applicate into their private blockchains for improving the efficiency of sources. But will it be enough? Decentralized assets are in demand for a reason and this might not please a majority of their audience. If their plan is to implement blockchain for their users as well, they would have to make an explanation of how it works etc. for billions of people, which would massively promote blockchain technologies in general and it would probably boost cryptocurrencies as well, so I am going to have crossed fingers for them  Smiley.

You are correct, the time that i read the news that they lifted the banned on promoting ICO's in facebook, i just immediately think that they are now recognizing the good side of blockchain technology., blockchain will replace the old techniques which are used primarily on some major businesses, but its good to know that they are considering blockchain as the new emerging technology nowadays. Its makes life easier and it does lessen the manpower resources., if it will be properly implemented to everyone.

Hoping that this entry of facebook, they could serve the community a lot more better than the old ones. Its makes me excited, how they can applied to existing applications.
