I see no reason why the US government would want to review it. If they wanted it in the first place, it would not have been turned down and all the lashes would not have come up. They are gave reasons why no one should take them serious. So, considering them again might send the wrong signals.

Did you just assume that because it's being reviewed by the government it will be a positive news? Think again we have this kinds of news lately involving around Bitcoin ETFs and it's expected "approval" yet we only see news about extensions and denied applications because of "lack of requirements" the bottomline is they just give you false hope and nothing more. Besides a good news for Libra might not even be beneficial for the rest of the market since Libra is the complete opposite of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies when it comes to their principles.

I just googled and there is absolutely nothing about this in the American press at all.
And there are no announcements from the American regulators - which means the US government isn't doing anything at all.
Also: there is nothing to "review" yet as Facebook hasn't launched Libra yet and may not launch it at all given how many high-profile payment processors have walked away from the project.

No wonder because every time there is, the media will always make sure it reaches to the otherside of the world. It does sound like there are users who are conditioning the minds of the people in crypto that its about to be approved.
Posted yesterday was this thread also making it appear like facebook libra is a revolutionary currency that challenge monetary policy of countries.

Could you help translate and share what the meaning of that post was? Or was it actually just a translated version of what we can already find on Google about that news? Libra already said they would be delayed at least until 2021 if I remember correctly. Why would they be again asking for a review from US government? Or is this to see if they should be completely stopped?

I think the big pump is still very far away. the review by the US government of the creation of LIBRA would not be positive because LIBRA itself had not done anything to satisfy the wishes of the government. And in general, I believe that the growth of the cryptocurrency market will not be associated with LIBRA. This project is not important to us.

Being reviewed doesn't mean the got approved. Also, it has nothing to do with the whole crypto market anyway. Libra is a stablecoin and if there are influx of investors all the money will go to the company's pocket and not anywhere else. At best, it will just increase the overall crypto market capitalization and that's it.

Libra needs US and US wants something in return from the Libra project. Libra would want an environment to do business freely under the security of the US worldwide. Anything endorsed by US is readily accepted around the world while the ones banned by US has nearly no future.

I do not know about where you got the news source because it is in chaises maybe it is new types of FUD to get investors in the crypto market. I know that the US government going to review the libra crypto coin next year before going to launch libra coins next year.

Its one of the biggest social media network site in the world, it will be easy for libra to make it popular with facebook. The hype can easily float again when Mark Zucker tweets it, media will take it very seriously when its tweet by this sucker. The government however will not make it easy for him, he has to give something to US government more favorable to the government before libra can launched.
