Comparing malaysian language to indonesian is like comparing the Russian language which people speak in russia vs the russian spoken in Kazakhstan. ( i don't expect you understand this one either)
The comparison you stated is not so accurate, you can stand in indonesia and piss on malaysian land, the two languages are derived from the same one, they are the same but not identical, not sure how comparing two countries on different sides of the world where one language is the second language of another country relates to this

It works the same with switzerland or even Belgium, or Luxembourg. Ok with belgians you'd need a few sentences to notice it, maybe not THE best example.
