Bitcoin is more scare and costly than gold now, let that sink into your skull, who dares gives bitcoin away for free? You don't need to be told that it's not real, if you fall for such you need to check yourself cos you've been consumed by greed.

Seems that's its super easy to get verified these days or there's an increasing amount of "plugs" offering to verify people for a fee. I thought Twitter, and other social medias considered verification very serious, and only verified high profile people. I can see why some people would fall for this in combination of the verified tick. Its probably always worth making sure you follow the official sources, by going through their official website, and clicking their social media link.

I do not think this is a verified profile. All verified profile will have a blue tick mark bothe in Twitter and Facebook. This one does not have a Blue tick it is white. I think he created this Binance logo with a White tick mark.

It is not at all easy to get a verified profile these days only people and organisation who are significantly important are given these blue ticks.

With the increase in social media related scams and cloning of social media addresses, its of great advice and advantage for users of social media to be very cautious of currency or money related on this media as it creates a wider base for meeting strangers that can defraud you in the long run not excluding phishing for identity details. And there is no better time to perpetuate this act than this critical rush hour where every one tends to be searching for some source of income and store of wealth thereby, is most likely to miss the slightest red flagging details.

I saw it in telegram groups which are mostly accessed on mobile. The scammer inserts a link in a link where it can be visited directly within the application and doesn't show the address bar which makes the user unaware that it is a fake tiwtter page. You'll only notice that clicking RT and likes doesn't work.

That's what happened to those Telegram groups that didn't have a good chat moderator.

There is no 100% protection from encountering these fake ads and even the most and reputable Telegram groups can be spam by these attempts but kudos to some other groups that do have a good chat moderator and able to take down those messages within just a short period of time.

Awareness is really the key. That fraud attempt will never be stopped or end so we just need to do our part to spread awareness about this.

Maybe with the blue tick the scamer can fool those who don't know but I'm sure people will see the URL and it's clear they made it with a long name, lol how could they be victims if they see it, ah never mind this is very stupid.

I even saw other pupolar person like celebrity and elunmusk for example. that give fake giveaway the same thing they used in Facebook in 2017-2018 but right now they only give screenshot with fake instructions how to claim or to double your money by just depositing to the address they given. Not new scheme but they are
now upgradedd it and use their own website . It's looks like they really earn a lot by fooling other people with that fake giveaway scheme.

sometimes people for this kinda stuff though, especially if they're new to the crypto world, but that amount is stupid, 10000 bitcoin which is
250 million dollars lol, who the hell is going to believe that, but still reminders now and then can make you careful.

We do not know when a crypto user believes in such a giveaway and decides to send funds. It is natural that those who have gained some experience in the crypto market will not believe such fake websites. But the problem is that those who are now entering the new crypto market and do not know about such scams will get the wrong information and fall into the trap in the hope of quick profit.

So we should expose these scams and warn them so that they can gain some knowledge.

This is a fake verified badge symbol, there is no way they could get that blue check in their account especially with the same name as Binance on Twitter.

That's effort Grin as a scammer creating a new website for this trick, and then hope that someone is gonna fall into this trap.
~
Effort indeed. It really seems to me that hackers and scammers will do anything just to take advantage of others. Especially when it's money matters. With those kind of skills, one is likely to fall into their traps without their knowledge.

Scammers are really becoming smarter. If you're not careful enough, you might find yourself as one of their victims. Anyway, thanks OP for the warning. This is a caution to all of us that we cannot trust that blue check easily. We should always think before we click.
It is the reason why it is very dangerous for others to keep on going in the world of crypto and blockchain because these scammers and hackers are getting smarter just to deceive and steal money from innocent people. Good thing that other people are giving us warnings and tips like OP because not all of us are fully aware of this kind of illegal scheme.

Hopefully all will going to learn and educate with the post that has been gone in this section and to other sections to keep them aware though this kind of scamming is an old ways of scamming still we can't deny that there are still many crypto fans out there being scam. Sad but this is very common and this is why we need to intensify the campaign of awareness against these scammers.

I mean you can't really fall into this kind of scam unless your just not careful or not reading anything at all, you could easily spot this, and it's already suspicious when you read it or see it from other sources.

This kind of trick is always used by scamer to get money from victims and even keep doing it, are they not tired or are there always victims? so it became commonplace for scamer to keep making it.
I want to make a lot of people aware to be careful and always see how the real URL is.

This old scheme is used again, but if scammers still use it, probably they still can find some victims.
But this time I have question, how did they added verified badge on Twitter profile? Yeah, I know it's fake, because real verified badges is blue, but still.
And this time scammer is really dumb, he used his full name to register website and even his home or office address is vissible. I wondering what can be done, other than reporting him? Maybe Cyber police of Ukraine can do something? https://cyberpolice.gov.ua/

Scamers are acting up again they are continuing to spread this fake giveaway link on several telegram groups and they are on behalf of Binance to get a lot of interest so I think it will still be around.
Damn this trash trick still exists.

This is not the first time I see something like this, but it almost got me fooled with fake verified badge symbol and website identical with twitter.

Everyone needs to report @notoscam in telegram even google safe browsing. Here is the google scam report link: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en
Please report here all of the scam sites to mark as a scam by Google. So everyone will get a warning to visit those scam sites.
I am reporting many of this scam websites to google, but I never did that on this telegram group and I don't know who runs it and how it is working.
