Gas fees should not be the reason but bitcoin is. Did you aware if bitcoin was also dropping a bit too from its weekly position? that makes sense if another crypto other than bitcoin will get the same correction like bitcoin.
People are only seeing it based on the price without trying to analyze what the main thing that has been making ethereum gets dropped a bit.
here's the trend. Bitcoin goes down and altcoins too.
Transaction fees on Ethereum network was high in 2020 since September. Ethereum Transaction Fees Hit Record Highs as Ether, DeFi Coins Soar. I don't think that the new record of transaction fee is the cause of price fall. If you consider the growth of Ethereum last few months, its price need to be corrected. Fee record is what you saw, not the cause.

How DeFi is Driving The Spike in Ethereum's Gas Price

Bitcoin is another cause in the net of causes. They are: Ethereum past growth, Bitcoin price, DeFi soar, new transaction fee record.

Ethereum dropped with around 3%. Cryptocurrency fall to $1778. Against bitcoin. Ethereum continue dropping

Maybe the potential reasons is their gas fee, it's becoming crazy and I seen that most traders is avoiding several erc20 tokens right now and they were trap due to higher transaction rate. This is not a good sighs of the drop continuously happening, and believed right now all holders was shifting to another platforms like btc or tron.

It's normal in cryptocurrency. I think that it's too far to think if that would be the falling for ethereum. That doesn't make sense just a little drop and then ethereum might die soon.
Ethereum has been making a significant increase a few days ago and that's a common thing to see.
Dude, ethereum can't fall easily.

Hello op. Seems like you are new to crypto. Daily price movements like this are totally normal in the crypto space.
It is also normal that sometimes people move from altcoins into bitcoin which means that altcoin prices are dropping and btc is rising. The next day people move into altcoins and it is the other way around. You can check the btc dominance for that

Then what?

If you are just new into this market then i would tell you this that 3% drops are just typical movements into this market or isnt something that you should really bothered out yourself

and then telling later on that this is the end of ETH or telling that bitcoin is rising up again. If you do decide to stick into this place then you should really get used into those price
percentage movements because it isnt really that like to be seen in upcoming future.

You would surely panic once you do see 10-20% corrections in price. hehe

What is the collapse here with this information, the adjustment of price fluctuations within the range of a few percent or even 10% during this period is very normal no surprise. This next growth, too, is likely to initially experience a slight aging shock and then rebound strangely on its own and follow bitcoin.

What a news.

Aren't we used to the small drops that we're getting this time? but we all want only to see huge pumps and with such decline, it's already getting our attention?

That's not a huge drop honestly.

I'd buy if I think that's a drop that's a good deal.

Cryptocurrency coins continues to rise and fall, if a coin continuous rising then that's TBC, TheBillionCoin not crypto coin, if ethereum is falling then that's some sort of corrections because we are not in a bear market period, after every corrections there had been a massive green on some altcoin values, no fall is bearish one, it's just a clear corrections.

Almost all of the top coins are dropping, not just Ethereum, the global market cap is down 2.5%. So it's not just Ethereum that is going down, to be fair, so what's your point?

Are you in a panic mode?

Maybe he bought eth and he is scared that it will continue to go down. However, he should take a look at the overall market and see what's the trend. At the current rate of eth, still it is high as compared to previous years. And by the way, this coming month, where there will be Berlin Hard Fork, I believe will boost the value of eth. So for the OP, don't panic, eth is a valuable project not just a crap one like most alts.
