As what I have understand about their story, they are so creative. They are "forcing" merchants to accept Bitcoin by any means necessary, and they've accomplished it while traveling to 40 countries. This is what we call "true advocacy" and "massive adoption" by forcing them to embrace cryptocurrencies in open arms. If I were in their shoes (as a solo traveler), I would try that too (maybe when pandemic is gonna be over).

Oh it's the Bitcoin family and the legend Didi Taihuttu. Famous since 2017, everybody knows this guy that sold most of his belongings, bought Bitcoin and kept moving between countries.
Some criticize this decision but if you read first what he has to say it makes good sense.

I have no more words to watch a family like this. really really gives us new spirit. they are digital people who are really giving us a new direction to continue to introduce bitcoin wherever and to anyone.

The story you are telling is simple but has enormous value.

Of course that's the main concept for not to spend unless in Bitcoin but there are exemption and those are foods ,drinks and other special needs that will surely not accepting bitcoin but they need to accumulate .They had all what they need in the world so cash out at some point is surely plus factor to go around 40 countries and maybe counting.

What i love on this is that they are often in telling or asking people about their knowledge about Bitcoin in which may affect each places they go through .and maybe those establishment will come to mind about accepting Bitcoin for special occasions or costumers.

This story is indeed amazing because they were able to travel to different places only using bitcoin for their day to day transactions.
But I'm more personally amazed how they were able to travel to 40 countries for 4 years since 40 is quite a lot. I bet they struggle finding shops that accept bitcoin back then, but since bitcoin is now gaining more attention, it means that they can find more businesses accepting it. The whole story is fascinating and it's nice to know that they are also promoting bitcoin around the world by doing what they do for the past 4 years.

I hope they will earn more profit, people who investing and trusting to the bitcoin earned money and hoping soon we can see a lot of business that accepting bitcoin so where ever country we visit we can use it.

Big adaption to the bitcoin will happen for sure but it will takes time to happen this. That family is starting using bitcoin and I think it's time for the change and hoping we use bitcoin everywhere.
The amount of profit that Bitcoin is giving to people now is expected to give more profit in the future and soon Bitcoin will give people a huge profit. Bitcoin is now very popular with almost all countries in the world.  Bitcoin-dependent Bitcoin is now so advanced that in some countries people are secretly using Bitcoin despite the fact that Bitcoin is banned. I hope that in countries where Bitcoin is banned they will declare Bitcoin legal because Bitcoin is not an illegal bitcoin.  The way it is going now, I hope it will go much further in the future

Travelling in 40 countries just using bitcoin, WOW! Shocked That's the life that I want to experience too. Everything is all  about bitcoin, I can't imagine. I really want to learn from them.

Many people will be inspired by their story. And one day we will not be surprised if many people also travel, eat at various restaurants and shoppers using only cryptocurrency or bitcoin.

Surprising! 40 countries? How is that possible? It wasn't an easy task by the way. I am assuming he is around only crypto-friendly countries. I can't imagine how he has been managing everything with crypto only. If it's really true, then it's one kind of bitcoin adaptation. He is finding goods for bitcoins and o the other hand he has been spreading words about Bitcoin as well. I think many new people will meet with the bitcoin in this way.

What a man, standing strong with his wife by selling everything and betting everything on BTC. He's the man. Lol

Anyway, I wouldn't expect that a small Italian village would be such a crypto-friendly place. It's like I want to be there and live there. Definitely, a great family, and they look so happy with their pictures. Imagine visiting 40 countries; that's the life.

I'm curious as to how they are earning their BTC as well. There's no information about it in the article, though. I want to learn more about it, and maybe he is here? I would like to talk to him.  Cheesy

Is that really possible? I mean 40 countries, meaning they cross the borders and using Bitcoin for their financial needs thats awesome. by the way, where it exactly happen in Europe maybe, I believe the people and governments of Europe are more advanced and open to new possibilities compared to the rest of the world.

Basically it is already possible. There is an increasing number of shops that accept Bitcoin. And there are more and more. Bitcoin will continue to gain acceptance in the coming years. By 2030 at the latest, I hope that everything can also be paid for with Bitcoin. Until then there is still a lot of catching up to do.

So this popped up in the news today :
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/12/05/bitcoin-price-buying-bitcoin-how-this-family-buys-sells-everything-in-cryptocurrency.html

This is a story of a family which survived 40 countries depending just on Bitcoins. They did that for 4 years and invested in Bitcoins in 2017 when the price was 900$. The family apparently does not pay in anything other than bitcoins , so they are travelling the world and asking the people and the government if the transaction can be made in Bitcoins. How cool is that ??

But they say there are two places on the planet where you can pay for literally everything using bitcoin: the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana and a small Italian village called Rovereto

!!!!!

Quote
In Ljubljana, they paid for things like car repairs and cinema tickets in the cryptocurrency, and in Rovereto, it is possible to buy a motorbike, pay your taxes, or get a haircut using bitcoin

He didn't even cut his hair until and unless he did find a person who did accept Bitcoins.

Quote
"I always said to people, 'I'm never going to cut my hair till I find a hairdresser that accepts bitcoin,'" said Taihuttu. "And then I walked into this hairdresser, and he was accepting bitcoin. I was like, 'Oh, no, I need to cut my hair!'"

For Didi, the fact that both a very small traditional village and the capital of a country had whole-heartedly embraced bitcoin was a sign to him that it was possible anywhere.

"In my opinion, any country, any city in the world, can have the same adoption of bitcoin as a store of value, or payment, or peer-to-peer cash," explained Taihuttu. "This is what keeps driving us to explore the world."

Okay I believe it's very cool ! What are your thoughts on this ? This family is not only exploring their way around the world but they are also educating people about Bitcoins.

He didn't cut his hair because there was nobody to do it for Bitcoin? Ever heard of a hair clipper? It costs like $20 and can run on batteries.

I guess he was trying to experience cutting his hair and paying for it with bitcoin 😏

It's great to hear that they managed to travel with bitcoin, but the story is just too dramatic for the average guy like me who wasn't born a millennial.

I think this is like killing two brids with one stone, educating people and using bitcoin at the same time, even with the non-acceptance of bitcoin in his country he still continue to live with that, that a motivation for all bitcoiners and future investors ...
