I don't believe that farmers world wide using bitcoins, because you can see most of the countries do not use the bitcoins, also citizen people have not too much know about bitcoins, where i m living in my country i don't think that 10000 people know about bitcoin out of twenty crore peoples, so how can possible farmers people using bitcoin alot of. i think only one farmer using bitcoin out of one crore.
i think bitcoin will be more famous in future and people aware day to day about bitcoin, i think farmers will aware about bitcoin like as other people .

Farmers world wide are not using bitcoin, because here in the philippines almost all of the farmers are poor, or they dont have interner in their province. So not all the farmers have bitcoinn or any bitcoin wallet or other crypto currency

I think they indeed do not do this because the fact is that a lot of farmers also have contracts so they will not get pay out in the bitcoin of course.
We are still far away from that in my opinion, maybe in the future this could be possible.
I think we are far far away from that yup maybe in the future but now. Here in the philippines this is impossible right or in the next few years i think we need to wait century to happen in my country
Yes were too far for that the farmers should always in farm so how they use bitcoin if everytime they are in farm?
Here in the philippines almost of the farmers here are too poor and they not know how to use computer so why they need to use it? How this bitcoin can help many farmers?
Exactly in my country too farmers have no knowledge about computers and internet, so it's sure, definitely they don't know about bitcoin. It takes long period for farmers to know about bitcoin and earn in bitcoin.
I think that earning bitcoin for farmers is greater than their wage. Well, for my own opinion, have the farmers train first about computer and internet so that when they already learn, they can earn a living through bitcoining.
Just like other says farmer in our country dont have knowledge on computers and the main thing is they work hard but they earn less so they csnnot afford to buy mobile phone.

Farmers in 3rd world countries {small subsistence farmers} can use Bitcoin on mobile phones to buy and sell goods without the need to pay huge fees to greedy banks. Most of these farmers primarily

supply their own needs, and can benefit from Bitcoin with the options it gives them to do micro transactions. Farmer A can sell some extra carrots for a few cents and then buy some goods at a local

shop and pay with Bitcoin. If they did that through the expensive banking system, they would have lots most of that income to high fees being charged. Instead of bartering for goods, they can now

use a inexpensive tools to trade with other... If the merchant did not want to trade for carrots, he can still trade with others and buy with Bitcoin.

The thing is, I'm from a third-world country, and farmers here cannot even afford a simple mobile phone that can send and receive bitcoin transactions, so I think the path for bitcoin here for our dear farmers are too narrow to seize the opportunity bitcoin is offering. Also, the irony is, farmers who are providing us the food we need are those who can't even afford to have something to eat for themselves and their family, which is saddening.

You are right because where i m living in my country most of the farmers have no reached to school, they have no electricity system, no internet, so how can they use bitcoins? may be the richest countries's farmers will be educatered they can understand about bitcoin, but most of the countries's farmers have a lot of difficulties to understand about bitcoins.

It's funny because stellar is already doing this in Africa, with farmers etc.

To me it sounds like a good initiative to get bitcoin more widely adopt.

Wow that's great news. Happy to hear some crypto currencies are doing this for a good cause. The morea diversified amount of people using bitcoin, will make bitcoin a succes in the long end.
It's not just for the internet generation.
It provides a benefit for everyone; the farmers, the organization helping them, and the consumer. Everyone is out to make more money, and opening themselves to a broader market is a part of that.

Bitcoin was never for just the internet generation, it was meant for anyone in the future. Even if Bitcoin does not survive, the technology exists now, and there will likely successors that will take their place.

if you can bring bitcoin to those small business, those little shop that sell you fruit and vegeatable, in real life, little market in the square etc..., you're done, bitcoin can from that point reach mainstream in no time
I agree on this and this is what bitcoin really missing to get attention from small business owners. A small we accept board in those shops in remote areas and even in cities will increase curisity about what is bitvoin and we all know falling in love into bitcoin starts from that question.

If as the above quote everything happens, without doubt bitcoin goes mainstream. But bitcoin acceptance in small offline and online shops takes time for implementation.
