With the demise of microwallet, came many micropayment systems. Among them Faucetbox stood out to become the most beloved micropayment gateway and had no such visible issues. Hope they get back on track soon.

with all these SCAMS nowadays it is hard to believe a "server error " or a hard disk error has encountered .
HASHOCEAN claimed that they have been hacked and they're trying/working to recover data too but they are GONE forever.
I hope this is not a case of SCAM  Sad with fictive updates of fixing .

Edit: just get it done ASAP to prove that your website is serious. You charge quickly the faucet admins with 5% when they deposit, so fix the server  Grin

Daily traffic on my faucet has dropped dramatically... It will take some time to rebuild when FaucetBOX is coming back...

All that hard work for nothing. :/

Is there update FaucetBox script  Smiley

What do you mean by that? When there's an update of Faucet in a Box script, you can see a notice in your faucet's admin panel Smiley

Perhaps he means if there is an automatic update button? If that was your question, no, but you can update your script using with these steps:

1. make a backup of all files
2. make a backup of database
3. update all files except config.php and templates/ directory

Also, hopefully the issue with the servers get resolved quickly.

Agreed on #2...

http://twitchpotato.com is growing daily but faucetbox rank is 721... Says it might be broken bcz no claims for seversl hours.

We pay daily.... So i guess im adding an hourly giveaway to cope...
Should we be worried about the fact that twitchpotato shows:

Quote
Fund Balance: BTC 0.00000000
Today's Payout: BTC 0.00000000
Your estimated claim: BTC 0.00000000

Huh So there are no funds and no payout today? Or is that being caused by the FaucetBox outage?

This was probably caused by the outage, wait until they come back up and try again and see what happens.

I were checking my traffic and from no where it went down, now i know why, i believe this issue is already fixed or being handled, otherwise we will make the most costumers run away on short period.

So I guess all faucets are down then?

I think you can use faucets with threshold and withdraw when faucetbox is back

Thanx, but I am a faucet owner. I am concerned with my loyal users receiving there claims.

I don't mind server being updated, let's me know Box is on top of it. Just making sure it wasn't just my end.

Last update today, time to sleep.

The server we've ordered was successfully delivered, although 6 hours late...
We've provisioned it and currently we're waiting until database backup gets restored. I estimate it will take up to 9 12 hours.

I don't like two option of faucetbox

1. more time for received a withdraw

2. the list of faucet not is update, more is dry
1. When handling withdrawals, they must be done within a large period of time in order to lower transaction fees. By handling withdrawals every 24-48 hours, the amount FaucetBox has to pay is cut down significantly.

2. Due to the sheer amount of faucets on the list, I imagine that to constantly update it would be difficult. Give it a bit of patience and I have no doubt the dry/not working faucets will be removed.

Actually this is what I am doing at the moment, apart from your website, damn those botters.

I have about twenty websites with thresholds, keeps me busy.

What is clear is that not only can have a place like Faucetbox, because if they fail Faucetbox fail all faucets.

Suggestion: failover server?

Assuming it would be weaker or the same as our original, that wouldn't help. It would have run out of disk space in the same moment or sooner.

We're talking about using asymmetric setup, with master database server being weaker and having smaller storage than slave replica.
That would have helped, but I'm not sure we can afford that.

Godspeed, I hope you will be able to fix it soon. Do you have the knowledge to set up a configuration for an high access server or are you asking the solution to the hosting provider?

Why not split the server into the database server and server-side script server?
This is much more secure than running the both on a single server.

Hello
Good to see an official update. Hope you guys get up and running tomorrow and we are able to claim once again without any problems.
I have been using them for long - so I never thought they would scam me. But I was growing worried as time passed on.

Keep up the good work Devs. You people rock!

How much storage space is actually in use?
