I think that Siacoin looks like a very strong investment but nobody can be sure of the prices next year. It could be huge, or it could be a major flop. Do your own research for fundamental analysis.
Peculium looks very strong but they have only been tested in Beta and backtest so I don't know how successful they will be once they are launched for real. Only time will tell.
I have some different coins at the moment but I think some of them are good coins & I will hold them for long term, and then can go up defiantly.
These are DAT, HD, CS CUBE & NPXS; my opinion is these would be best coin for 2018.

My favourite coin is Sia, which is predicted to have big developments in 2018, namely, the release of file sharing between Sia users, approaching major companies to act as their storage layer (including Dropbox and Netflix), and elevating Sia’s public profile through PR and marketing efforts.
Right now my favourites are Eos and Fusion. I think both of them can achieve great results in the nearest future. Also i would like to take part in some ICOs: QuarkChain and Egretia. I know it will not be easy because many people will try to invest in these projects, but i will try)

You can invest in low-value banknotes that you think may have great development. For example, TAAS currency, ICN currency, PAY currency, GNO currency and so on. However, these currency risks are greater, so be careful about choosing.
I think that the QuarkChain (Blockchain) is a high-throughput blockchain that aims to achieve millions of transactions per second (TPS), will have the most promising coin.

These coins are my most favorite (ETH, DASH, IOTA & NEM) I think its price will be huge in these next few months and its team will be very strong in 2019

ETH is like a virtual gold now so if you are looking an perspective coins the choice is obvious ETH is the best one. ETH has mad chances to double up current price quite soon.
in 2018, Ethereum has many technological upgrades relating to scalability, privacy, and decentralization coming to its platform in the next year. In particular, their upgrade Casper, will switch Ethereum’s consensus algorithm from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake, which will greatly reduce both the environmental impact mining has and the growing circulation of Ether, thereby making each coin more valuable. I believe in that, I still hold ETH.

I have 3 favorites.1.) Iota - huge support from the industry -> usecase
2.) Waves - hidden gem (probably better then Ethereum) -> marketing (still) too slow
3.) Smart Containers - ICO with real usecase and working product and costumers
