As a potential investor, why should I invest in this coin?

Probably because of the stability (in contrast to other altcoins), the dev team and the great community Wink.  Although the value of FTC has decreased too the last weeks.. before it did stay quite stable.

If you really want to invest in altcoins, why don't you spread it on a few coins? I do Smiley .

I also diversify heavily since months waiting till next Bitcoin bubble. Just reconsidering FTC again. It is on the biggest altcoin markets, that is a plus, but what else this coin can provide to the newcomers, why they would buy it?

This is the issue. When FTC was first marketed it was done so as the little brother of LTC (as in LTC -> BTC, FTC -> LTC). It had a very strong community and a lot of things going for it and then things died off.

The coin can be resurrected, but it's going to require a community effort.

It doesn't like a lot is going on with FTC nowadays. Am I missing something?

As far as I can tell, no. I'm still holding out though in the hopes that at some point the coin gets resurrected, Smiley.

Doesn't sound promising if I would like to invest :p

It's a hard one to judge. If there are ever plans to increase its value through marketing and income-building, investing now is a great idea (as the value will go up significantly). But that'd all be speculation. It's basically high-risk high-reward right now.

Yeah, I agree. I decided to buy some more a couple of weeks or so ago because the price was so low but it's nearly lost half its value from then. I'll still hodl it incase we see a rise in the future but getting back to a dollar a coin won't happen without some significant developments from the devs/community. Hopefully it might rise if we see another spike with Bitcoin but I'm not that hopeful.

I disagree, I really take many altcoins will gain more value as soon as the Bitcoin gets more expensive to buy. We saw that earlier, with for example Litecoin but also DigitalCoin and FeatherCoin. I think the same will hapen again, and untill then I'll HODL.

Also, the devs and community of FTC are way better and bigger than many other altcoins. I think it's just a matter of time Wink.

The devs/community don't matter if nothing is being done. This is why we're curious as to what's going on. What projects are in the works? What can be done to help? I haven't heard anything about FTC in a long time is why I'm asking.

I agree we should be more active on Bitcointalk, if you are looking for updates please visit the Feathercoinforum www.Feathercoin.com

Anyway I give you a short writeup:

-NeoScrypt in work
-ATM is done
-Point of Sale Device (https://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?/topic/7206-dev-introducing-featherpay-point-of-sales-device/)
-New innovative Features gonna be implemented into the Client

etc..
