I've been working on a cryptocurrency / Feathercoin wallet guide, to go with the next FTC release. The new release has a new set of FTC "material design" flat icons which have been used for the screen shots.

The guide is applicable to Bitcoin-qt or other wallets (0.9.x).

Any comments or issues gratefully received.

Is the FTC only traded in bittrex alone Huh

Mostly. There are a few smaller exchanges, too.

Maybe, getting it listed on Yobit would be nice?

They have practically every Alt listed on there!

Hippie Tech still isnt banned for trolling every thread?  Roll Eyes

Guys you can believe what you want, but there is no "inner cicle" who mines with a better miner. Maybe a few have written their own, but that could be applied to any algorithm. So stop spreading shit, thanks!

Also, please tell us why you chose to support a coin (and it's greedy scammer devs/ insiders) that exploits miners with de-optimized kernels ?

The craptsy insider noobs behind this and many other "new algo" coins already have the perfectly optimized kernel.

Your concerns have been addressed already, but you don't seem to get it right.

If you want to make a scam accusation, feel free to start an appropriate thread. Otherwise stop playing a retard.

What are the typical hashrates for this algo? I am getting ~1.3MH/s using two Fury X cards. is it normal?

More or less. Little difference between Nano and Fury X so far. Need to get either one to optimise the miner, but it isn't on my top priority list currently.

I am seriously thinking this coin could be huge. I have seen many altcoins but this one seems promising, it runs for a long time and still has active staff (are the devs still active?)
Maybe optimizing the miner is a good idea? it could bring some new power to the network and make the coin more popular. maybe a little guide on how to mine the coin for newbies.

I am trying for some time now and I still cannot seem to understand how to optimize the miner for the best hashrate. I am getting 1.2-1.6MH/s using two Fury X cards clocked at 1.1GHz. the hashrate varies a lot and I don't really know why. I stopped changing the configuration.

Miner optimisation for R9 Fury/Nano requires me to purchase the hardware first and spend a few days of free time on working around bottlenecks. The current kernel released in February does a good job for Tahiti and Hawaii (600KH/s for a reference R9 290X). I recall the last donation received was also in February. I hope it doesn't surprise you that people are reluctant generally to work for free.

Hash rate variations you see are most likely due to temperature and TDP limits throttling clock speeds up and down. That's expected for Radeons newer than Tahiti, though exact behaviour is driver dependent.

Mining can get, quite boring Cheesy

Oh. and yeah, mining can indeed get very boring. they need to optimize the NeoScrypt algo so we can get some performance improvements.

Yeah you're probably right. I wonder how much better it is  Huh

We may never know.

I initially exposed this on the original FTC neoshit thread almost 2 years ago.

EDIT - I did this by tweaking the .conf's most basic settings.

Re: Feathercoin 0.8.7.0 Released - The NeoScrypt Update - Hardfork block 432,000
Anyhoo..

My 280x/hynix is pulling 128 khash with cgminer 3.3.7b and the following settings :
gpu/mem - 1120/1500, win7 x64 cat 14.9 w/ sdk, -I 13, -w 32, -g 2 -g 1

Screenie shows the 280x and 7870 at stock, same settings except -g 1 was used.

edit

both examples used -g 1

They also disabled solo mining so that their pool(s) would have complete control of the network.

That's nothing, I been trying to think up the most over the top ASIC mining hardware resistant combination of policies Grin

I have about 7 of them now Cheesy

Hoping to reach 20, by the end of 2016 Smiley

What do you mean? you are the developer of neoscrypt? I thought it was ghostlander

Nope, I just do it as a hobby and then post them as feedback on the ANNs of various ALTs.

Hi! we created a multicurrency dice site: www. cryptosdice. com

We are looking for people that want to be part of the Feathercoin bankroll! on july 11 we are going to activated those currencies with enough bankroll. We think this is a good opportunity for Feathercoin community as it offers many advantatges:

1 - A way to spend Feathercoin  - dice games are a good step in any crptocurrency development.
2 - A way for investors to earn.
3 - Feathercoin  wins visibility, It will be displayed in our website next to btc or ltc. Also our site have faucet for any of the altcoins accepted.
4 - Affiliates earn coins in the original bet currency, so users that don't know about Feathercoin  may find they have some balance of this currency because their referrals's earnings and start to learn about Feathercoin .

Thanks for your attention

You sound like every other crypto fundraiser/ beggar that I've met/trolled. lol

42Dice aka. hendo420 and/or maco, tried to get others to fund his scam dice site in very much the same way.

Also, please tell us why you chose to support a coin (and it's greedy scammer devs/ insiders) that exploits miners with de-optimized kernels ?

Yes, all pools are PPS.
so where are all the pools here, there are like 600MH hiding somewhere, and i remember solo mining was not possible, there is a private pool or something?
