Of course alt coin prices are going to be insanely volatile.  We're talking about speculative spinoffs of speculative spinoffs of a highly volatile and experimental new currency pump and dump.

It seems obvious that all these altcoins without any real utility/change will all crash hard in the beginning, if they have real utility their value will increase over time, but certainly not early on.

FTC is being mined at 88 coins every minute,
btc at 25 coins every 10 minutes,
do your math, if you never traded currencies, just imagine the zimbabwe $ against USD...
and the same goes for the bbq and mincoin, now they are mined at low rate but at the beginning the first ones to mine got a lot!
they not going anywhere for sure.

As for FTC, if there is no support no community, no developers, it will continue to drop, maybe it will not dissappear like i0coin but
i think to buy any alt-coin with bitcoins is a bad idea, unless you can buy something with it (ltc) or one with future use prospects (nmc) that indicate that it's not going to die...

Ftcs were up to 45 cents yesterday. It's dropped to 18 cents today. http://feathercoinprice.com  my question is what's more the reason for the drop, btcs dropping or difficulty?

To find the answer to your question, you might look for a clue in the answer to this question, "why did FTC rise to the absurd price of $0.45?"

The US govt said it might want to regulate cryptos so everything is down.

I spent 500 Bitcoins on feathercoins at 00417 no joke... I lost BIGTIME...
Did you put all your money into feathercoin?!  You should really diversify what you're holding...I hold some FTC, some BQC, some BTC, and some LTC...probably not a great idea to hold everything in one new coin.
Also probably not a great idea to dump a ton of money you can't afford to lose into this stuff, it's frankly plain speculation and some of us will make a crapload of money but a lot of people are gonna lose a crapload of money...put in what you can afford to lose.  Hopefully you could afford to lose 50 grand.

Either way, I'm kinda surprised the price didn't go higher with you pumping in 500 BTC...did you buy them all at once?!

Look on this side:
http://dustcoin.com/mining

It makes sence. The popularity, ie Hashrate is good, but the price is just undervalued now

Simple supply and demand. The demand dropped so the price dropped. Get involved in the Feathercoin community and help drive up demand. You can make it into a long term investment 6+ months or cut your losses now.

I dont know why this fucking crash has happend. But Its pissed me off....  Angry I bought at 00417 right before that major crash and its lossed more then half its value now.. Not cool......

It never ceases to amaze me how many noobs are getting suckered into these P&D's. Your suppose to mine them cheap, then dump them quickly in exchange for decent coins like bitcoin. NOT buy them!  Cheesy

No really how the hell do you get 500 bitcoins thats alot of money.  I know lots of people with lots of bitcoins but still I would never risk that much on an exchange.
