It already looks cluttered up with the page numbers being displayed for each thread. Instead of page numbers, it would be post numbers and I would be more interested in having my post numbers displayed rather than page numbers. It would be more relevant to me as I am searching for new replies to my posts.

I don't think you need to look replies to yoir old posts neither do I think the reply will be in the same page.

If you want to look for reply to your lates post, click image "new". It will go to the the latest unread post and is enough IMHO.

For the thread you mentioned, it would be a huge list but since there is no limit to the page numbers a thread can have as of now, it would be an issue in such cases. Threads should not cross 100 pages or 200 pages IMO.

It shouldn't be implemented. If there is an active discussion, many threads about same topic will be created and it will clutter up the board.

P.S. It certainly is better to see 200+ pages for a thread than to see 20+ threads for a subject.

Thanks for the pics. It is good for small threads but have you ever thought how it would be displayed for threads like Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin Price Movement Tracking & discussion

I would like to suggest a few changes for the new forum:

1. Having an Advanced search feature which would fetch results based on the topics created/replies of a particular user. It could also have an option to sort the results date wise and could be customized.

2. Ability to have a post ID reflected in the "Show new replies to your posts." results . For eg: The results would reflect the Subject of the thread and the post ID/s of the user.

3. Notifications via email for a feedback received.

4. A text box besides the delete button of a post to select one or many posts and delete them.

I support only the two suggestion (in bold). The others one aren't necessary in my honest opinion, but who care maybe the dev team will add them.

2. I mean to say that currently I can see the following results when I click "Show new replies to your posts."

While if the post ID/number is mentioned instead of the pages, the results would appear as:

I hope you get what I am trying to suggest here.

4. Thanks for the steps. Now I can see the checkboxes  Smiley

1. That will make it easier. Now I think, "Message age" will fit better if we don't know exact day of the post.

2. I didn't still understand about "post ID". Won't you have to remember the post ID to make a quick edit or delete when you want? If yes, isn't post number enough?

3. I don't know. It was my opinion that feature isn't necessary. There maybe other people who likes it.

4. Sorry! I thought it was enabled by default but I think it isn't.

• Go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=profile;sa=theme.
• For last feature in that page, "Show quick-moderation on message index as", select "checkboxes" from the drop down list.
• Click "Change profile".

Now you will be able to see it.

1. The advanced search feature should have a date as well like "Yesterday" "A week back" which makes it easier to sort the results and even a Sort option. Many other forums have this feature.

2. I would like to check my posts in a particular thread as now I need to go to a thread, search for my username and click delete or edit or choose to browse the entire thread and search for my particular post. Post ID would help me directly access my post and make any changes.

3. I find it necessary as we already receive notifications of PMs so why not for feedback?

4. I did not find any checkbox. I can only see these options "Quote  Edit  Delete  #1" In case of PMs, I can see the checkbox besides the message.

This is already there. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search;advanced.

Searching by date isn't possibile, however, you can use "Massage age" feature to sort according to days and it is enough IMHO even if we have to do a bit of work to check posts in a particular date.

2. Ability to have a post ID reflected in the "Show new replies to your posts." results . For eg: The results would reflect the Subject of the thread and the post ID/s of the user.

Subject and username is already in in, so is there a need for post ID?

3. Notifications via email for a feedback received.

I don't think this is needed.

the delete button of a post to select one or many posts and delete them.

If the posts you want to delete is in one page, you can check the checkbox in top-right corner of your post(after post number) and click "delete selected" in bottom-left corner. If the thread is small, you can use "All" view* to get all posts in one page and delete the posts you want to.

* All view can be done by either clicking 'all' or by appending ";all" to the url. For example, if this thread have 2 or more pages, you can get all pages by going to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1016451.0;all.
