I really like Keven although I completely disagree with him on this one. The example he gave buying all available coins on exchange and lost 70% value is just ridiculous. It is like investing in every company on Shark Tank for the amount they asking without any research whatsoever. I think he understands very well bitcoin and crypto markets but  Kevin is a cutthroat and would do/say whatever to protect his interests.

What are your thoughts? Is fiat money more real than bitcoin?

I'd say it is as real as fiat, just haven't been adopted yet to the point we could use it in everyday life.

He states his opinion and it is fully respected.
He can believe whatever he likes. For him real money is Fiat money because he can use it in his everyday life. This is a reason to corellate it as real money and maybe this is the reason he does so.

Fiat has its own advantages and disadvantages and Bitcoin has its. Cryptocurrencies will not replace fiat and that is not the goal but with time they will become more equal and more accepted. Bitcoin isn't ideal money and we have to accept that but it's still good alternative to traditional fiat currencies.
Regarding Kevin O' Leary everyone has the right to the opinion but we don't have to listen to it. There are too many so called experts that think they know everything about Bitcoin but people should actually ignore them because they have no credibility.

You already knew that Kevin O'Leary is delusional then why still care about his invalid statements  Huh

I already bought my own gaming computer with Bitcoin and I can testify that it has an intrinsic value and so other people too. These people who still doubt Bitcoin are the ones who are not willing to learn or adopt new technologies and contented to the old ways but let's respect them because change is inevitable.

One reason I like bitcoin more than fiat is because of distribution. (all though fair distribution though time/duration will replace bitcoin mark my words or will be traded into bitcoin)
Another reason I like bitcoin is because you can`t just create it, it is like gold you need to mine it. (you know gold that thing that used to back our money)

What are your thoughts? Is fiat money more real than bitcoin?

Distribution is still not fair! Only a handful of miners are getting the maximum benefit, but it is somewhat better that the current economic system!

One thing I agree with you is the "Time" currency. In future, time is going to be the only currency and for each action, you are going to get a credit of time in your time wallet which you can spend to the market. A lot of people will say it is impossible, but when we talk about fair distribution, Time can be the only currency which will ensure the fair distribution. No other currency or government can ensure "fair distribution"!

But on the other hand, power mongers would not let it happen because the power will then be shifted to the common mass!

why do you keep listening to the stuff these type of people make when they obviously are spreading nonsense about bitcoin and have no understanding of it?

A hurdle I have sometime found in both online and offline discussions, is that people think bitcoin isn't "real" because you can't see it or hold it like you can with cash. The old meme of bitcoin being "magic internet money" still very much holds true in some people's mind.

people who say that must also think fiat is not real money and think the only "real money" is cash. because at this day and age 90% of times we are not using anything physical and everything has turned into digital form with credit cards, wire transfers, payment processors and online wallets.

Regarding O'Leary, he heads a variety of fiat based companies bearing his name, including mutual funds, investment funds, venture capitalists, stocks, shares, ETFs, etc. As always, people heavily dependent on the fiat banking and investment structure for their own wealth will oppose anything which seeks to challenge that structure.

Ah this explains it, I honestly have no idea who this Kevin O'Leary is and why we should be listening to his opinions about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. We can't really expect someone who is heavily invested in traditional investments to say something good about crypto.

Kevin O'Leary must be belonging to the old-school club led by Warren Buffet. These men are not interested with bitcoin and they are open to say whatever they wanted to say against this new digital asset revolution. Sure, bitcoin is not perfect but it is evolving and though some famous names predicted in the past that it will just go away silently, we now know that bitcoin is here to stay. It is quite hard to determine the future of cryptocurrency but using the resiliency of bitcoin as the gauge, in my mind, there is no question that its future can be bright especially that we are seeing a steady rise of its adoption in many industries and the general masses.

I guess we just have to respect the man and his disdain on bitcoin...because eventually it is going to be time that will prove him to be false. Bitcoin died many times and yet it is still standing strong up to this day. There will always be critics especially with a successful platform like bitcoin...the more critics the more we know that bitcoin successfully ruffled their feathers.

We are free to say whatever we want and talk about our opinion.
But we all know the truth about about crypto we just need to enlighten them about it.
Most of the people who are against the crypto are either ignorant about it or fear to try it due to the high risk .
