We had some controversies on this Championship when some refs didn't want to look the VAR even after 5 refs from VAR Room pointed out that something is wrong. So at this moment it's all in main ref's hands and people can be bought, influenced or they can have an agenda of their own.
Everything will change when FIFA passes the rule that watching VAR is a must, not an option, for a main ref.
