Germany really gathered themselves up in the second half and put up a much better fight against Spain. I appreciated that effort honestly. Maybe Musiala wasted an absolute goal opportunity but he still did a good job by making an assist to the life saving goal scored by Fullkrug. Spain were close to getting ahead once more also. Morata had a big chance but Schlotterbeck's crucial tackle prevented a big danger. There is still hope for Germany in the group stage but their job is pretty hard anyway.

If Japan draw with Germany then Germany will need to defeat Costa Rica by at least a two-goal difference. In fact they can do this easily if they play properly. I'd like to remind of the Spain - Costa Rica game which ended 7-0. Grin

Costa Rica are struggling against big teams that have a solid game plan.

Germany and Spain made it a very nice match. On that basis, they both deserved a draw. Spain took a 1-0 lead, but Germany saw a goal disallowed for offside at the end of the game. I never doubted the possibility of a draw in this Spain 1:1 Germany match. It was very unlikely that Germany would leave the tournament in a second match. At the moment, the game is very much still open in the group E with only Spain having the upper edge to haven't lost a match, have one win and a draw, bring them to 4 points. Well let's see how that scenario can make Germany qualify for the round of 16 because it seems difficult to expect Germany to qualify easily after 2 matches without a win. Germany had high expectations of getting to the final, but things didn't seem to go as expected.

I still expect Germany to qualify from the group stage, but they have to really prove it in the last game without having to rely on other teams. Will probably win, but let's look forward to it.

Both Spain and Germany national teams are playing well but from what I am currently watching Spain is in better ball control in pitch than Germany. If Spain win or draw tonight, Spain will qualify for round 16 easily but if Germany was luck to win the group E table will favorable to any country to qualify for round 16. But in this match Spain is a favorable team to win because of team performance,the team is are really playing well.

If Germany to be out in this group stage it is a shame to the players and the entire country because they are among one of the favorite country people are expecting them to qualify for round 16 in the group E.
