Well, crypto users/traders =/= member/knows bitcoin talk. It's not a requirement for crypto traders to first create an account in bitcointalk. I myself know a number of people engaged in crypto or are traders but do not have an account here. Besides, there's plenty of other sources for them to find out about crypto and trading other than this forum. It may be true that there are plenty of traders here trying to keep up to date but I'm pretty sure that others have found out about trading through other means. Bitcointalk may be the OG platform/forum for crypto but it's not the only one.

Or it's possible that the other traders are simply not so chatty or are not interested in reading. Tongue

Ok lang naman siguro kahit dalawa importante ay wala kang ganagawang bawal or nang spam sa kapariha mo at ginagamit mo ito sa tama na walang inargabyadong iba. Ginawa naman itong furom para kumita rin at matoto ng husto sa tulong ng ibang user.

And I hope that system will stay forever. Yeah! I know that the traffic generated by each one of us matters a lot for this forum because it is the soul which keeps it alive, however, huge traffic is not worthy if most of it only composed of nonsense stuffs. If I will be asked for my opinion regarding this issue over and over again, I still show my support to merit system (no hesitations at all). I would rather choose to suffer from not able to rank than watching spammers, scammers, shitposters and even bots can easily pollute our forum.

You have a point there, that's the reason why users do spam in the mega thread or even here in the local section because of that's all they know. At least things are being done to prevent spamming, and merit has been the goal to improve your posting quality. It's great to see that, and especially, a lot of people are growing with themselves. I'm just curious if there is still a lot of people who are using alt accounts to multiply their earning.

I'm also curious about why there are a lot of people who know cryptocurrency and not know bitcointalk. There are a lot of people that I talked to who are into trading crypto but is not a member, so I wonder where they get info or something like that.

Kabayan sa palagay ko, paniguradong multi-accts yung karamihan sa mga newbie. Kasi ako bilang newbie, marami pa akong kailangan mg intindihin sa forum na to, at takot pa ako magpost post ng kung ano ano lalo na sa lending section. Pero napapansin kobsa mga kapwa ko newbie, para bang ang dami na nilang alam kaagad. Kasi sa nga nababasa ko lalo na sa lending section. And daming newbie na gusto kaagad magloan kahit sobrang unknown pa nila. At karamihan din sa mga scammers newbies. And tama ka hindi pa kilala masyado ang forum na to sa pinas and yet dami biglang newbies everyday. Scammers will do anything, hide everything. Masakit lang dun, kapwa nating mga filipino pa ung nangloloko. Kung sa gambling sites nga dami ng alts pano pa kya dito. Hehe un lang naman. Salamat

Hindi natin masasabi ka agad na maraming may multiple accounts ang mga miyembro dahil araw araw dumadami ang nakakaalam ng bitcoin at bawat segundo may nag sesearch sa internet kung paano gumawa ng pera gamit ang bitcoin. Samakatuwid, maaring lumalabas ang forum na ito sa mga list kung paano kikita ng pera na ang bitcoin kaya mas lalong dumadami ang mga miyembro nad newbie dito sa forum.

Anyways, I somewhat think that it's okay to have an alt account as long as you have a purpose or something. Like the alts of hilariousandco, theymos, LoyceV, etc. I'm sure that they are saying that it's for unprotected access IIRC.

Wag ka ng magtaka bro! Dahil yan sa pinaigting na forum rules lalo na yung merit. Hindi ako naniniwala sa alt accounts dahil non sense lang naman kung gumawa ka ng sandamakmak na account kung hindi mo naman mapapakinabangan. Bakit? Dahil hindi na nakakasali ang newbies sa mga bounty at kung meron man eh yun ay scam o maliit lang ang bayaran. Kaya para sakin merit rank system ang nakakaapekto at hindi multiple accounts.

Sigurado yan kabayan. Naniniwala ako na maraming alternatibong accounts ang karamihan dito, pinoy man o ibang lahi. Lalong-lalo na iyung mga naunang nakaalam at naging miyembro ng forum na ito. Hindi pa naman kasi masyadong mahigpit noon. Lalo pa't nakita nila na ang forum na ito ay isang madaling paraan upang kumita ng pera [noon].
Isang dahilan din malamang ang pagdami ng mga newbies. Yung mga newbies na laman o babad ng ibat-ibang social networkings. Different postings on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc may have spark-off their curiosity as to what this forum can offer. Kung ikaw ay isang millenial, you will have no problem doing campaigns on social media because postings and making tweets are what they do best. Nag-eenjoy na sila eh kumikita pa. Why not di ba?

With the implementation of the merit system, I doubt if they will still create an alternative account.
Maybe in the past when there's a lot of account farmer in the forum but most of the accounts are already reg tagged as most of them are scammers.
The merit system really help to improve this forum, newbies now are better compared to the past IMO.

Sang-ayon ako diyan tropa. Ang hirap na kayang magpa-rank pero di ko pa rin isinasantabi ang posibilidad na baka ginagamit nila ung mga newbie account para makarami ng tokens sa airdrop at sa social media bounty. Pero yung nga, sobrang sayang effort nila pagkaganun.
