Had no idea this loan was still open or that BPB paid it for me. Seems that he has also been inactive for some time. If you come back BPB, I have Bitcoin for you.

Apologies to darkstar_ for the miscommunication. I also have no idea who this fake koshgel is. This account has never been compromised. I'm just been inactive on this forum.

Thanks  Cheesy

Seems awfully suspicious that you decide to leave for almost a year and a half, and "forget" about your loan. At the bare minimum, sign a message from your staked address as I strongly believe the account is hacked.

I don't even use this forum anymore. It was shitty over a year ago and it still hasn't changed. People still spamming for their shitty ad campaigns without any real information being shared. Learning about Bitcoin and other alts has many other competent sources with helpful users.

Sorry that you think I would scam someone for what was like 100 bucks at the time. Dont blame you though this community is jaded as fuck. I don't ever intend to trade or loan here so fill me up with all the shitty red trust you want  Roll Eyes

lol, you default a loan I gave you and call me a scammer?

I want remind that very a similar situation, MZ outstanding loan have been repaid  after half year by third party, but all negative feedback have been removed,  Is this not a double standard???
AFAIK MZ's loan wasn't paid by a third person (I mean not with the third person's funds). MZ sent the BTC to an intermediary and asked him to pay whom he owed.

As I said I'm keeping the negative here because this was not the first time OP defaults a loan without any communication and I strongly believe OP can't be trusted, at least not on no-collateral loans. The previous time I did make the feedback neutral. Actually this has nothing to do with it being paid by a third person.

Although my personal opinion, ve should be at least until he repay loan to bipolarbob, and than neutral.
I don't think Bipolarbob is expecting it to be repaid. I think he gave it away and it's not the first time he does that.

maybe do not rush to conclusions until he did not come back
Anyway of course I'll read what OP has to say when/if he comes back. But I doubt that will change my mind.

Can please someone explain to me why BipolarBob repaid this loan?
If the account is ruined from red either way, why to pay it?
As a sympathy to the borrower perhaps?

Sorry that i am asking... Smiley

I think that only BiPolarBob can answer Grin

as the BipolarBob has repaid his outstanding loan , will the negative feedback from his account be removed , can he be trusted in future??
No it will not. I've left a negative trust on his profile for a previous late loan and then changed it to neutral after it was repaid. Normally I do change feedback to neutral or remove it after a wrong is fixed, to encourage fixing it. However this has gone too far.

I strongly recommend not to ever lend to OP. If he has the chance again I think it's extremely likely he will be late at the very least or default completely. Therefore I won't remove the negative trust I left. Actually I did reword it after it was repaid by BipolarBob but kept it negative.
You have a valid point about keeping the negative.

If he wants to exit the bitcoin community he could sell his account and get a nice payday(Much higher than 0.1) and its better than defaulting/scamming someone.

IMO, The negative feedback should be changed to neutral to warn lenders in the future.
EDIT: I think the negative should remain. The reason has been explained in the below post by EcuaMobi

I would not trust him with no collateral loans in the future.

With his past record with this all, I am wondering why there was no collateral taken for this loan?  I understand he is legendary, but this does not give him the OK to break the terms of the agreement.  That is just my opinion.

A bit strange situation.  Real koshgel should be able to sign a message with one of his old addresses. Let's wait for a signed message from koshgel.
He signed a message in the OP of this thread:
Quote
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
this is koshgel from btctalk asking for a loan of 0.10 btc today 7/3 for 0.11 in return on or before 7/10

That address was first posted in January of this year here.

He has repaid several loans over the past several months, although some of them have been very late. Based on my conversations with him, the loans he takes out are for gambling. He took out a loan back in April that he was several months late on -- he gave me a number of excuses as to why he was unable to repay, although he eventually went silent for a long time -- the price of BTC did go up a pretty significant amount, so it is somewhat understandable that it took him longer to come up with the funds to purchase the BTC.

To be honest with you,

I think that the real koshgel is gone long time ago.

I was PMing with koshgel over a month ago and he doesn't seems to be the real koshgel.

But I might be wrong.

The new koshgel left me a -ve trust feedback because I refused to let him join a campaign which I was managing.
He was very rude. That's why I think it's not a real koshgel.

A bit strange situation.  Real koshgel should be able to sign a message with one of his old addresses. Let's wait for a signed message from koshgel.

Best regards.

That was very nice of you BPB.

Hopefully Koshgel will be able to use the money that he no longer needs to repay his lender to build up a little bit of savings so he doesn't needs to borrow money that he does not have in order to gamble.

Wow, thanks for the 0.04BTC tip from this loan, and 0.01BTC from cooldgamer's! Thanks, really appreciate it. Cheesy I'll mark both off as repaid once both transactions confirm (just want to be safe). Confirmed. Thanks again!

Right he has repaid larger loans in the past, although he did repay a ~.23BTC loan very late not long ago.

From what I can gather, he plays poker with the money he borrows and when he loses he takes a long time to repay, a very long time. He had given me multiple deadlines to repay his previous loan, all of which he missed. Although to be entirely fair, BTC was skyrocketing at the time, so if he was planning on buying BTC it would have cost more for him to do so possibly resulting in it taking him longer to get the money together.

The fact that a troll created a fake account is not something that I would appreaiate.
