Recently in a thread read about the real incident that happened with his life. On emergency he have admitted her wife for delivery. By situation he wasn't able to withdraw cash and make the payment to the clinic. He have requested the physician and the payments were made in the form of bitcoin. Same as that now a dream bike being bought using cryptocurrency when the banking features failed is really good. It also shows how effective the cryptocurrency payments were taking place when the third party service providers fail.

Nice story @ OP but why do I think I am missing something?  The most important recipe of the story.  Oh yeah, the Bitcoin transaction ID.
You know everything can be made up but proof of transaction of Bitcoin can't be forged.  I so love to see you attach your Bitcoin transaction regarding that motorycyle.  It would be a better inspiration if we saw that you actually paid it in Bitcoin as the story claimed it was.

Pugs are the best!
Nice!  If this helps better your life it is no doubt a great purchase.  I nearly made a similar purchase back in 2015 (or somewhere around there).  A member of this forum had a Harley for sale and I wanted it so I made an offer.  I believe he was asking somewhere around 75 BTC and I offered 69 BTC for it.  We haggled a little bit but eventually couldn't come to a deal.  This year I purchased an all electric motorcycle (Sondors Metacycle) for around 0.08 BTC.  I'm glad I got lucky and was able to dodge a bullet there.
Did you completely dodge the bullet?
Looking at the time frame in trying to make the supposed Harley deal and now, there have been a huge change in price appreciation and the same would apply to 0.08 BTC in 2-4years at most and then, it would seem like you dodged a bullet just to get hit by another.

The most important truth here is you did what made you happy, using a rare means available to you. Even if you had to sell BTC for fiat and make the trade, its a means avail to you.

Sometimes, we've jus got yo say, WTF with the price appreciation in few yeas and satisfy some wants. It's the ay to go right,  Cheesy!
I would agree with OgNasty with this one and say that he did dodge a bullet at that time. As the potential price that he could've bought the motorcycle could be million in today's price in bitcoin. Also, if you will to compare the price appreciation from 2015 - 2022 of bitcoin it has increase for over 1000% which is unlikely to happen within 4 years as the price of bitcoin right now is relatively high.

That's a nice scrambler type bike you acquired! We can feel the excitement when you purchase something using bitcoin and when you least expect it. It's also nice that the dealer knows about bitcoin and accepted it as your payment, This means we are making progress in the adaptation and businesses started to accept bitcoin as a full payment for their products. I'm just thinking if the dealer will still or continue accept bitcoin in our current market scenario.
It is always exciting to spend your bitcoin in a transaction in the real world, people criticize Laszlo for spending so much money for some pizza back in the day but it is always incredible to find someone which you can share your joy and exchange some bitcoin, can you imagine what he felt at being the first not only to do this for himself but ever? The feelings should have been indescribable, so I congratulate the OP on his recent purchase.

With the advent of cryptocurrency and having a mainstream popularity, pretty sure that you will eventually likely to bump into someone who's into cryptocurrency too, you might even bump into a crypto millionaire and he/she might help you become one too although that last part is wishful thinking. Pretty cool that he was able to buy a motorcycle using bitcoin, my friends have to swap their coins for fiat just to buy one.
I've included the word "good" stranger on it because, in today's time, there are too many bad people that whenever they hear something related to money, they'll have that bad plan for you. I'm not judging but there really were those scenarios that have happened badly to the victims. But yes, hopefully someday and it would be a great talk and discussion personally for me.

I think I know something like this personally. I mean it is "technically" not the same because it was a factory type of stuff. I do not know what it is called in English, it is not like a huge factory, but it is like a small shop type of place, like literally size of a decent size room, like a room and not a whole factor, but things are made there, with machinery etc. And a person bought that place for bitcoin as well.

This was like a small shop that made fake jerseys basically, like a jersey place but for made up teams instead of real teams and for many kinds of sports as well, from soccer to football to baseball to hockey and so forth. That was quite surreal, love it.
Maybe like a retail store or shop? Sort of like that. Nice, good for that man so it's a plus for him to have that place as a real estate investment while paying it with another investment, bitcoin.  Grin

This is great news. Many businesses have started to expect bitcoin as their payment methods. But I also think that it is better not to spend one’s bitcoin at this moment of dip where many people are investing in bitcoin..

Congrats and great story! Hopefully, I'll bump for a random good stranger that's also into bitcoin about purchasing to his/her store and will pay in bitcoin.
Whether we're in a bear market or not, if there's really a need to spend our bitcoins for important things that will make our lives easier, it's okay to spend it. I've been there and thought of that it was a mistake but that was put into good use.

The nice thing about your experience is that you have as a Bitcoin enthusiast dude. You think there is a problem with your bank account and you are told that it will be resolved in 24 hours, then in a flash when you ask the person assisting you if he is willing if you pay Bitcoin, he agrees even though he hesitated at first but in the end he still trusted what you said and was happy to transfer Bitcoin to the address he gave you. You both helped each other from what I saw in your story.

That's a nice one. People usually buy something small before they try spending a lot to buy something with bitcoin. You were lucky that guy was willing to accept bitcoin as a method of payment or I guess it was you who was able to convince him to accept bitcoin since the price was low. But did you sell (exchange) your bitcoin at a loss? Or did you buy during the dip and then exchanged it for the motorbike? And why did you pay him more than what was agreed?

Very interesting story op.

In the past, there's this crypto exchange in my country that also partnered with the many big companies. It allowed its users to use bitcoin as payments for mobile loads, gaming cards and bills like electric, water and internet. And I used it many times too, mostly for mobile loads. It's a shame they stopped it probably due to new government rulings on crypto currencies.

Last year when Axie Infinity became a trend. I saw a lot of sellers in my country that included slp as another payment option for their stuffs like bags, beauty products and even cars.

Won't be the first nor last time we'll be seeing stuff's like this honestly. Seen the use of Bitcoin at a gas station, Bitcoin used for a ride Bitcoin used to get pizza and Bitcoin used for donations.
Congratulations OP thanks for sharing and I wish you all good with your new ride. Bitcoin indeed helps in times when banks are no where to be found.
If such would make Bitcoin gain much value I'd really appreciate it.

this will certainly be an amazing experience in your life and the motorbike you buy with Bitcoin payments will be a memorable motorbike, maybe you can put a sticker on the motorbike "Buy With BITCOIN" it will be very cool.

In my country, Indonesia, transactions like this will not be allowed due to regulatory problems. Because the only valid means of payment is Rupiah, nothing else. When you want to buy a vehicle such as a motorbike, you must first exchange Bitcoin to rupiah and the transaction is done in Rupiah.
Can't really do full transactions with Bitcoin.

If he could have planned or predicted the future of Bitcoin then he would not have used it in his Bitcoin then. Now with that bitcoin he could make a few motorcycle showrooms he he

However, if Bitcoin had not been used in this way before, Bitcoin would not have gained so much value.  And it would not have been so popular. So I think using Bitcoin for different purposes is good for Bitcoin.  This increases the trust of users towards Bitcoin.

An excellent story that inspires all cryptocurrency owners with hope for a better future. I am sincerely happy for you that you were able to buy your first real product with Bitcoin. Of course, this is a very important event for you and everyone who was able to read your story, as well as the owner of BTC. I am sure that now everyone will be able to do the same as you, namely, use BTC to buy real goods. I am also sure that many will want to become holders of BTC, since it has real proof of real use. I am glad that I was able to read your story, because it also encouraged me to start buying BTC.

Man, what you have accomplished is just definitely amazing! It is one of those dreams that every BTC HODLer wants to aim- purchasing something that is relatively expensive but extremely useful to their end by using BTC as payment.

Just to share you my experience, I am also saving most of my BTCs as I am currently looking for a dealership in purchasing my first ever car. Due to transportation conflicts and hassle in my country, having a car is purely for convenience rather than a necessity. I have estimated that it will take me around ~8 months for me to purchase my car but what you shared definitely inspired me to do better and HODL my coins.
Well, not all btc hodler wants to spend their btc especially on an expensive thing because that would slow their progress of accumulating more bitcoins but all must have another reason on why they buy and hodl because they can't just do it forever as that won't make sense.

Still, they may not use their btc to buy an expensive thing but they may use it to avail a service, like for example; medication and education. Good for you that you will buy a car because you think it will help you while some buy expensive things for an unimportant reason like they just want to show off. 8 months seems not really a long wait but you could have your car in a much earlier time once btc pumps unexpectedly.

What a great story! I have had several similar stories with hassles with my Bank and even some times where I had to resort to paying for food with Bitcoin when my Bank temporarily closed my account ===> because they found out that I was trading bitcoins via an exchange with my account. (early days)

Satoshi said it best in his "White Paper" ===> "Alternative payment option" ....so when other payment options fail you, you have something that you can fall back to.  Wink
