IDO with KYC? KYC under IDO for me is already a red flag.
There are already a lot of IDO platforms nowadays that don't need KYC anymore. Try to dive into Solana, there are some platforms there that don't need KYC anymore, for example, is Raydium platform. And also in Ethereum, have you heard DAO Maker (https://daomaker.com/)? I haven't yet tried this but I can always hear about this platform.
Solana without KYC? Are you talking about Solpad Finance (SOLPAD)? To even start with that launchpad isn't even generating any buzz at all. It's as dry as a dead wood at the moment. I guess the Raydium exchange that it's listed on is the main setback as it's not a known one. Solana is a nice project and its chain looks promising. It should be getting IDOs on it but a lot of projects aren't looking that way now. I like the way Tronpad and BSCPAD are structured even though there is KYC tied to them. The KYC thing is to prevent multiple registrations as the profit from these launchpads are really massive. BTW, is there truly any profitable one without a KYC tied to it?

Guys I want to start investing into new projects through polkastarter platform but I'm looking into getting more info out from anyone of you, if polkastarter platform safe?

First of all, best of luck for this journey and hopefully, you'll get whitelisted to participate in those IDOs as competition is so high. Secondly, polkastarter is safe and it started the hype of IDOs. BTW, if you really wanna participate into IDOs, than don't just stick with one platform as there are more IDO/IGO platforms. OP can check coinrank's statistics to take part into several IDO/IGO platforms if he/she wants.  Cheesy

Regarding the Solana project, it is far more effective for us to pay attention to. I often follow their new projects from the first to the current one, namely the Waggle Network project. Even though getting into the white list is a very strict and solid way for newcomers and investors who dare to spend money to be able to enter and join Solana's program. So far, Solana has made a breakthrough in profitable projects.

It is not "easy" to start investing into IDO's because at the end of the day they are not really known beforehand. I have seen tokens that went up 5x in the first day, and I have seen ones that dropped like crazy at the same time as well. There is really nothing that could be done which would make things easy for anyone. However it is not impossible neither, it is quite possible to make profit from them as well.

All in all just get in there with small amount, use a blockchain that has low gas fee and not ETH and you will be able to invest with tiny amounts and learn along the way. After you invest into a dozen IDO's in a small amount then you can gradually increase the amount you are investing more and more because you will be more experienced. When you know what you should be doing and you understand the space, then you would be making a lot more profit then when you first start.

Is this something like a collective form of raising money and then buying it with all the investors? All the stuff when I was exploring the site is that the new pools are all private. How do you plan on investing, OP? Do you have invites of it of some sort?

Pardon my lack of knowledge in IDOs etc. I would want to learn more.
Polkastarter is a platform that introduces many IDOs, as far as I know you have to hold some POLS for you to be able to participate on the IDO listed on their platform, some are just by lottery so you get your slot the more you stake or  hold POLS the more you chance to get a ticket for the IDO, this is just like and ICO way of raising funds.

To OP, you can also try Poolz platform, they introduced many good projects as well try to search their past projects to have more knowledge about this platform.

As it is a new project, flaws will become obvious, necessitating a step-by-step approach to perfection as well as a variety of awareness campaigns; therefore, you must be wiser in your comprehension of this because you want to be a part of a project that is still in the planning stages.

Furthermore, a KYC process assures that every IDO participant has been investigated and determined to be "fit" for participation.
The procedure is also critical for assuring compliance with legal obligations for fundraising, not only on the blockchain, but in the broader ‘real' world as well.

Guys I want to start investing into new projects through polkastarter platform but I'm looking into getting more info out from anyone of you, if polkastarter platform safe? Is polkastarter platform KYC free cos I can't find where to pass KYC, I can see pools available and wallet connect only, thank you

Polkastarter was one of the first launchpads, at least as far as i know, and has already launched some very good projects so i am pretty sure this is one of the safest launchpads out there and also one of the best. We have so many launchpads now that it can be really confusing from time to time and to be part of all of them is not affordable to normal people so if you want to participate regularly in IDO's or even private you have to pick out 1 or a few good launchpads from the dozens that exist and basically buy into their member tiers.
I am part of DuckDao and Poolz and with those projects i am still deep in the profit zone even though my portfolio is only worth 1/5th of its ATH from the beginning of may at the moment.

One of my high school classmates reached out to me that he was making money by participating in presales as he was so active in the charts. I was also thinking the same thing that it could be worth the gamble if I know the timing of their listing where I could quickly take profit once the token price tooks off in a short period of time before it could plunge.

I’ve heard about Polkastarter but never had a chance to check them out. Since your comments that Polkastarter had successful projects who are doing IDO in their platform, I guess I should be taking a look then and doing my own research first.

This is not a total red flag. It depends on the project that doing it. Polkastarter is the most trusted launchpad I Polkadot ecosystem. I agree that there method is unusual but they apply only this KYC to all whitelisted participants just to ensure that they are following the regulation incase regulators knock on there door to check there token sales.
Exactly, even Binance Launchpad and right now they are into KYC thing as well when it comes to basic account unlike before, regulation hits them. Not a fan of KYC as well but if the token is literally a good choice for investment then I'd decide to play along and besides I think we are into that realm where KYC is always be a thing.

Polkastarter is a reliable platform for raising funds for new projects just like ICO back in the days but polkastarter has a better and strict rules for the projects, if a new project have to use this platform to raise money they have to fully agree with polkastarter rules and regulations, so far I haven't seen a bad comments about this one, go for it.

I've never participated in an IDO on Polkastarter, but what I see is that the average project there is successful.

Regarding KYC, Polkastarter is an IDO platform from its name which already brings decentralization, should such a platform not ask for KYC, like other decentralized platforms.

You just need to connect the wallet and follow the whitelist, if your address is selected, you will be able to buy during the token sale.

IDO is a form that is no longer strange in the community, but always brings new things. If you are an investor with the desire to find potential profitable projects.
But for me platforms that need KYC are meaningless, although I am not someone who pays too much attention to IDO, I think it is better to prioritize products that have resonated as well as profit from that platform.

I haven't used polkastarter because there are only a few polkadot parachains and those chains have to be bid on and I think they already met the maximum allowed. I prefer investing and farming on NEAR protocol instead. They have a multi-chain trustless bridge, Octopus L2 has appchains (unlike polkadot there are unlimited slots), Ref Finance AMM, and Skyward Finance IDOs. I think this platform has a lot more potential and the marketcap has a lot more room for growth.

So far polkastarter is very safe for me which can filter out quality projects on IDO which can yield multiple profits, but its really hard to get whitelisted unless you are lucky. kyc is for whitelisted people.

It's better if you can try to start with another platform like daomaker, solanium, or something else that was making KYC a nonobligation for the users. There are so many reviews about polkastarter if it's very difficult to win the lottery but i think the same thing was also happening with almost all of popular IDO platforms as there's no guarantee about you can win the lottery and you must stake more and more tokens to get more ticket to participate in the lottery? did you ready for this? you have need to read all of the reviews about IDO and see how many people have been wasting a lot of their time to get nothing from there. They were also losing their money caused by the IDO token goes down due to the downtrend that happened with bitcoin and crypto market. You must think about that. Just try that and if you think it's not profitable and you should stop. More tokens staked = more chance to win the spot

Polkaster is a really reliable platform, so don't be doubtful about its safety. And yes, you need KYC to invest in IDOs. Actually, to join any of IDOs, you need to get on the whitelist, what is not very easy as there are many who want be there, so you are to complete different tasks usually like share with your friends and subscribe on their social media.

Every new project there will always be shortcomings that must be completed gradually through better development while promoting from various lines and various media, so you have to be wiser in understanding this because you want to be in a project that is still lacking.

Pols($1.55) are cheaper than the Poolz($8) but both of them are IDO platforms. I have no idea which is better but there is got to have more IDO on ETH than on DOT. By this fact, Poolz might just be a preferred option here because of ETH's demand than DOT.

If you just don't mind having KYC, I think POLS will be good. POOLZ is not requiring KYC. Not entirely based on this article https://medium.com/poolz/poolz-kyc-faqs-2a89aeffc855

I would say that polkastarter has a good reputation and they are gaining trust around the community.

As far as KYC goes, it's already part of the crypto market, this is to safe guard investors. And it's easy, if you don't like to go to mandatory KYC then don't. Look for others IDO that will not require any KYC and you will be good. But the thing is that with regulations around, comes AML/KYC so it's really up to us if we wanted to submit our info or not. No one is going to force you, however, you are going to miss a lot of profits, in my opinion.
