Would not have expected sub 400 bucks, thought we hold around 450.

Sigh, things are going south!

I'm in the long haul though....no panic selling here...

because you've left it too late

edit: I still find it hard to believe people speak here of merchant adoption as if it's going to help raise the price. It will not; it will in fact help to achieve the complete opposite.

$400 looks likely. It's at $413 now, down from around $450 earlier today.

Under $400 is very likely. The demand has completely dried up. I saw the same thing happen in 2011.

What I have said back then and now is that the big money players have simply lost too much money trying to pump bitcoin up. They have decided to let it fall.

It will probably be a controlled fall. I wouldn't expect big drops.

Nobody is asking the simply question. Why was bitcoin $10 dollars before china, why is bitcoin again not $10 after china.

Maybe it won't go as low as $10, but it will fall under $200. Just give it time, the demand simply won't be there.

So there have been no positive developments in the bitcoin ecosystem and we owe everything to China? I disagree.

Here is a very positive development.
Major French Supermarket Chain to Accept Bitcoin

Agreed. And their competitor (Carrefour) could very well be next.

Yeah sure, Monoprix is a major chain ... lol. They got something like 2% of the market in France.
On top of that they don't even say they will adopt bitcoin. CEO is just triing to make headline in newspaper as his company is losing market share.

So much bullshit.

We will keep hitting new lows I'll consider buying after the 15th to see what shakes out. Where will it land and will it be a wise decision. Until we see more progress with purchase options and secure exchanges who really knows, not you!

Nope I surely don't know. I do however believe that bitcoins are way overvalued.

There is nothing they do that fiat doesn't do better. They are highly risky to store.

Now there are plenty of alts that will do the same exact thing as bitcoin.

I see no reason why it should even be priced in the $300's. I don't see any intelligent investor buying bitcoins because it doesn't offer anything investment related.

It is just a big get rick quick scheme for most people who hold them. Only gamblers will buy them, and they will lose like gamblers always lose.

Remember: Buy when there's blood in the streets, and Sell when prices are high.

Or maybe Bitcoin will bounce from the $380-400 support level to the upside, reach the $550-600 mark and then fall straight to $300, just like silver did a couple of years back.

Sell at ~$600 and buy at $300?   Grin

We almost there, $407 on btc-e.

It just needs a little more push. Hopefully it will hit below $400 before I got to sleep.

A brave "hero" is spending $184,375 USD to buy about 452.67 BTC at $407.3   Grin
Edit: Current  bid  407.3    405.95870694   $165346.98
And it's gone.
Current  bid 407.3    0.1   40.73

Looks like he decided not to be a brave "hero".
I wasn't watching maybe he bought a lot?

Finally we may see under $400
We may also see $500, and $600 with so much good news coming out lately.
