I've seen this twice before with Bitcoin then Litecoin. I was twice the sucker. Don't be the sucker please... it is not a fun experience.

Fool me once, shame on me... Fool me twice, shame on you... Fool me three times, hell no? lol

I feel ya tho.

In Cryptocoins I Trust
Node centralization + mining centralization + advertising it as a "good thing" = face palm

Pretty much. Anyone that wants to buy one of these (aka. light money on fire), I suggest you simply send the money to me. I will send you back more than you will ever mine with this ASIC.

China sells the overpriced machine to suckers, then builds huge mines for pennies on the dollar, killing any illusion of profit by buying one of these ASICs.

Does this development make dash less or more shit than it already is?

sorry, all it does is make your post a troll post.
any more questions mr troll ?

I was just wondering what you think the implications will be?

I think it will reduce the user base significantly. ASIC mining is usually controlled by big farm, for example, the bitcoin.

I think Dash should change the algorithm to something more ASIC resistant so that it will have more GPU miners. It is good for the long term.

So much for algorithms saying they are asic proof. lol. Anything is possible with time...

Yep, with time and dedication anything is possible. Important thing here is that Dash just like Bitcoin was given some years to
provide CPU & GPU mining before moving towards ASIC mining (which was the objective anyways, trying to avoid ASIC mining in the very early phase).

Either way, pretty cool news, could help move the markets a bit with more coins coming in. Is it for the bad or is it for the good? As always, time will tell.

In my undestanding the number of generated coins is not influenced by the speed of the mining. It wil just be more difficult to solve the hash puzzle. More power with a more difficult puzzle causes the same time to solve the puzzle that will generate new coins.

Nothing wil change.

It is only interesting for people who get the first mining equipment: their hash power will then be temporarily much higher then others so they will receive a bigger share of the generated coins.

I was kinda more thinking, the people who would get them first, would solo mine for a bit before going to pool. I think the payout would be worth it a bit more, depending on how soon you get it. But again, this is all a time game for every part of it. lol

★YoBit.Net★ 350+ Coins Exchange & Dice
interesting i would be interested in testing out one of these machines

I would offer also a free testing for around 1 year. Curios to see how profitable it will be.

Join The Blockchain Revolution In Logistics
ASIC Miners now cover:

SHA256
Scrypt
x11

Others?

I see a return to bot-net POW schemes, but doing something functionally useful, like serving as servers.

I would think it would have a similar effect to when asic hit btc.
