Hi everybody, I am quite new in this new market and have a lot of interest in it. After advices from friends, i have put some money in Ethereum by the fact that i like their project which has a global view on the world. Moreover, i have also put some money in Monero.

Now, i am confused to invest in the long run for some bitcoins. Why ? Because prices are already really high but after reading a lot analysis, predictions are quite high.
What do you think about investment in some bitcoins at this high Price ? Thanks guys
Just like when new people enter internet now for the first time,we could not say they are too late and progress is no more.Just like that, you are not at all late to bitcoin world. Its true that bitcoin price is high enough now, but still its projected price for 2017 is around $3000 and yet the journey of bitcoin is to continue as bitcoin is only in its early stage. You can invest in bitcoins confidently and bitcoin would yield you more profits than ethereum.

The price of Bitcoin will go up over time, but don't trust the predictions alone.  The predictions are mostly made by people with an agenda - either they're excessively optimistic about Bitcoin because they're in on it and want the price to go up, or they want the price to go down for a little while so that they can buy cheap.

Making an investment in Ethereum and Monero is a good option because in that date (February 4) the price was pretty low and i think that you already earned decent profit. In terms of long run or long term in bitcoin then it is still good to invest even the price was high because we are talking about long term and we already witnessed how the price amazed us in terms of long term price increase. So i think even the price is high for your point of view, you can still invest your money but invest the amount that you can afford to lose.

This will depend upon you that with what speed you want to make profit Because in the bitcoin it is usually most of the times take more time to increase in the price but in such types of altcoins like ETH , monero  etc there are more chance to increase in price .
If you will select altcoins then your chances are more to make profit but if you will choose bitcoin then surely it will take more time to make some better profit .
Currently the price of the bitcoin is very high so I will suggest you to not to buy bitcoin . Try to buy some altcoins Because if you will buy bitcoin then it will take more time to make profit .

It's not necessarily altcoin = profit in short amount of time; bitcoin = profit in long time. It all depends on your timing. You can invest in altcoin and still don't get any profit at all after a couple of months of waiting because the coin is either already dead or don't have any user at all. Bitcoin, on the other hand, can also give you profit in short time when you invested at the right time.

The current price of bitcoin is high but I don't think the price will ever go back to less than $900. We've been here for a while now and if you don't invest at this price, you might regret it later.

My first investment in bitcoin is HYIP because I think that is legit but I earn a profit from that and when I knew all of HYIP are scams they are only pay at first then I decided to quit in that and start trading. When I trade I earn a lot of profit from it so still know I am trading bitcoin.

AFAIK my first investment in bitcoins was in cryptocurrency trading. I bought altcoins then let it stay for a short period of time, when I have a margin, I sold it. Though its not profitable since I am a newbie and  still learning the rope but somehow I enjoyed it.

Bitcoin itself is an investment so instead of investing bitcoins anywhere its better to invest our money in bitcoins to get best returns in future as investing bitcoins online involves a huge risk as there is no guarantee that those sites will survive for a long term and will give regular profits and if you have enough bitcoins in your wallet then its better to hold them without investing anywhere.
I don't agree with you about Bitcoin being the best investment option out there. From what I know investments should be stable and it should not fluctuate negatively. Bitcoin on the other hand is not a stable kind of currency and has a tendency of its users to do panic selling which makes Bitcoin's price drop massively. We all know that price drops are good but for investors if they bought on the wrong price it will result into a loss.

I wouldn't say that investing in Ethereum for the long term is a good idea, but sure if you believe that Ethereum is going to take off in the future, by all means invest in it. The worst thing you can do is to keep your fiat under your bed and not do anything with it.

Personally when I think of Ethereum I think of litecoins - litecoins were a sensation as well when it got out. Now it's dying.

The fact is that you cannot replicate the status of bitcoin being the first ever cryptocurrency. That status brings trust to people, even though nobody knows who satoshi is. If bitcoin didn't exist, then Ethereum wouldn't exist.

It's a good idea to invest but you have to think about it quite carefully.  You don't want to put in too much money and potentially lose it because you don't know well enough what to do with it.  But if you just buy it and hold it, the chances are that the price will go up eventually.  Just make sure you don't rush into things or take opportunities too short-term until you have more experience.

As much as I love crypto, I've learned that I don't have the temperament for investing. I'm too timid when it
comes to finances. I'm fine with smaller investments...$20 here, $50 there...but the thought of buying an
entire bitcoin (or even half of one) scares the bejeezus out of me Smiley
I agree, I also don’t like to take the risk and a invest a lot of money into bitcoin, some people tend to dump all their saving and thousands and millions of dollars into bitcoin without knowing the fact that its future is still yet unsure, they may have got some serious profit but still it is so risky.

I'm sure that this behavior is not from shyness, but from the fact that you do not have so much money that you are ready to lose. I am also very much afraid to lose my savings, because it is very difficult to earn them. Therefore, I try to think carefully before investing

Most of us are scared of losing our hard earned savings by making wrong investments but as it has mentioned above it's better to start with minimal investment and make profit out of it and keep following the cycle until you can buy an entire bitcoin then make more progress like trading or gambling (i won't suggest gambling from my personal point of view) start with little and make it bigger so that you do not end up losing your hard earned money.

Gambling is a best way to loose money so if you want to experience the disappointment of loosing then you can go for it or simply stay away from it and comparatively trading is much better way to multiply your bitcoins and earn some descent profits which may not be possible with gambling for sure.
That's not always the case.  Gambling is a poor idea if you're trying to earn profits because the odds will always be on the house's side (they have to make a profit, right?) but it's not the best way to lose money.  The best way to lose money is to keep it in fiat currency (just kidding).  Seriously, trading is not perfect and you can't expect returns all the time.  Many traders have to lose out for other people's profits, and it's the amateurs who try too early who suffer from this.

My first investment was not in bitcoin but through bitcoin I have invested in altcoins or to be exactly in ICONOMI, but now I'm thinking of ByteBall.

Bitcoin price at this stage (higher than many months ago) is not bad for investment, but the risk to lose is higher than ever.

Because the price is very high and if the price crashes you have the chances to lose more but the "risk" to earn more are almost the same as before as the price can be increased gradually as it happened recently.

My first bitcoin investment was invest in HYIP that seems ridiculous because I was a newbie and didn't know much about Bitcoin, you've already know I loss at the end. But I've learned something and want to invest nor follow HYIP Site.
I think almost all bitcoin users have the same path. when knowing bitcoin, and have it, I have also invested some of the bitcoin I get in some HYIP sites, and all of the site to be a scam.
Yeah I agree with that. However, as the time progress we've learned something to never invest on HYIPs site where clearly scam from the start and share our knowledge about avoid HYIP to the newcomers.

In short: if you have bitcoins, just hold them as long as possible; don't trade inside of the day; ignore the news. I already become to stay part of my bitcoins on side, and I plan to sell it only when the price for bitcoin will cross the point of 5000$.
Other variant if you are technically competent expert, you may wish to bet on the newly created cryptocurrency. Open this position only for a short time and only in the most beginning. This behavior is rather a speculation than wise investment. You do so at your own risk. But it may bring you really good profit as I know.
