Another new guy here. I just joined the forum and this is my first post. I've been mining and also lurking around the forum for about two months now. I'm looking forward to contribute in the forum. Cheers!

so bitcoin is just for gambling and drugs?

Not necessarily, I got into BTC for gambling. I might stay with it in the future for a different reason.

I think the restrictions are way to hard.

I mean what are they for ? They only have the effect that noobs post in every thread to get the posts.

I don't see any reason for the restrictions, but also I don't remember them being really very hard either.

Were can I find the posting requirements?

You have a to have a total time logged in of 4 hours. And you might need to post 10 posts (not quite sure about that though).

Edit? Never mind found it.

Think I could add some value to the forums. Have a background in physics and have been fairly active in investigating this bitcoin phenomenon. Would really like to have full access to the forums since I have some thoughts and comments I'd like to add to some of the threads i've been following.

Complete beginner to BTC. I have always wanted to do sports betting, recently found out about a few books which use BTC. Got into BTC just for the easy access to these books. Hope I pick up a few things about what BTC is all about from here.  Smiley

Piling on here.  Long time lurker.  This is my second post now.  Looking forward to getting into the mining conversation soon.  Figured I've spent enough on rigs, I should participate in the community too!

Im in a similar predicament as OP is, but I do not find the need to make a new thread so I will just use your thread for my first post if thats okay. Since I dont have much to say Ill say that I am a long time somewhat lurker on this forum AND NOW HAS COME THE TIME to join the ranks of other bitcoinees.

I'm posting to fulfill the posting requirements for newbies on this board. I would really love access to the rest of the boards as I am a shareholder in a few mining companies etc. and one of the issuers has done a runner. There are a bunch of people in the thread in question that are organising the remains of the asset and I would love to be involved. At least to have some chance to get some bitcoin back (very slim).

Don't have much more to add, I've lurked around these forums for long enough, never had much reason to post until now. Actually I had no idea how long I was supposed to wait until being granted posting priviliges, I've only just read up on it.

Have you been able to enable PM's yet?

I think we are investors in the same company... And I  have the same problem.
