i'd give it a try. was it heavily chemically treated or just salt, smoke and spices?
i had a jerky recently that was full of conservants. but otherwise i'm curious and willing to buy

Ingredients (from Original flavor)
Trout, sugar, dehydrated soy sauce, powder (wheat, soybeans, maltodextrin, salt), salt, corn syrup solids, reduced lactose whey (milk), black pepper, yeast extract, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, spices, red pepper, sodium caseinate, sodium erythorbate.
I think all additives are just to keep meat together (It looks like it's crushed). Those taste pure fish. 2 other guys said that too. If you like taste of fish you will love those.
