Payment Gateway Allows Recurring Payments
As for the campaigns and their rules, I don't want to comment too much in that direction, but I never liked the "minimum post" option because it only forces people to behave unnaturally and do what they don't really want to do. You don't have to run away from reality, but then accept your "job" as a real job (even though it shouldn't be like that).
A very important point, I completely agree with you. Personally, I suffer a lot from this matter and I never feel comfortable in campaigns that have a "minimum post" to get the weekly payment, because this condition makes members obligated to write at times that they do not want and therefore they do not act as they are.

This relates to our main topic here, members should act as their free self and not aim for merit, legendary membership or "minimum post" coverage, it should be a forum for free writing and sharing ideas.

So maybe should their attention be push to viewing legendary members profiles and their years or time they have spent and divers  input  they have relentlessly put into the forum before reaching to those ranks (apart from those legendaries that were in place before the meriting system came up) maybe such could put up some resilience and encouraging to them not to abandon the journey ahead.
I don't know other words to use to actually express mu intent about this thread but I just hope you get the very message as intended. To what I know in all society humans are somewhat self encourage by their knowledge of the story behind the success of those that are in the position they aspire to be in the future.

So the goal is for Legends to share what makes them stay active on the forum?

Sorry to say this, to avoid spam from low rank members you can only set a rule for legendary to post here only otherwise it will be flooded with spam post from those whom I think are not qualify to post here since is basically for Legendaries. Is just a suggestion you may discard if your already comfortable with it.
I'm not even sure what it is OP is trying to accomplish with this thread.  I understand the words that were written, but when someone who's been here less than a year creates a thread that seems to be putting Legendary members on a pedestal, I'm skeptical of their motivation if you know what I mean.

Not that I'm trying to diss Lida93.  I've given him merits before, and I don't think this is a case of some idiot begging for merits.  Maybe I, as a Legendary member, have become way too jaded after all the years I've been here.  And seriously, I can't imagine anyone who's a Legendary and who's spent a significant amount of time on the forum wouldn't just make assumptions based on all the BS that goes on here.  That could be a personal problem of mine or a negative consequence of being a *relative* old-timer.
The accomplishment I intended or expected from the thread was not even in my own gain, and why do I say so. We know over time we have had many newbies up to even full member account that have been abandoned and inactive wish I believe there are so many reasons to that, it could death happened, sickness took place, maybe lost of password, or a feeling of discouragement out of lack of growth or snail movement kinda of growth. Now the focus of  of accomplishment of the thread is on those with a feeling of discouragement due to how difficult, stagnant or very slow they seem to have it with growing in ranks in the forum.
So maybe should their attention be push to viewing legendary members profiles and their years or time they have spent and divers  input  they have relentlessly put into the forum before reaching to those ranks (apart from those legendaries that were in place before the meriting system came up) maybe such could put up some resilience and encouraging to them not to abandon the journey ahead.

most posts over 40000

a lot of merit over 5000
How did this happen?
Apart from the fact that you registered as far back as 2012, without wearing signatures, it's difficult to achieve 40k+ posts.
Was there a time you wore Chipmixer or Stake signature?
Besides, from 2012 till date is about a decade; does it mean that you have been available here every month and year since you registered.
I asked because what I know about some old forum participants is at a time they will abandon the forum and some years later they'll return.
I read that some old participants left when there was massive spam somewhere 2018, which I assume there was no merit system then.

I post.

I used to be on other blogs on the net.

Mac mini forum now dead 3 or 4 k posts
Mac rumors                      6k posts - - - - - - - still post here
parts express                   5k posts
anandtech                       1k posts
evga                                1k posts

I used to give away bitcoin from 2013 to 2015        so I did  some signatures.  nicehash for a while

I ran  yearly difficulty threads still do .  but gave away around 7 btc back in the day to promote btc

I did a short signature campaign last summer for NFT's as a believe in it as a form of art.

but for the 10+ years here maybe 3 years of signatures and 7 of no signatures.

I come on to this site at a rate of over 98% since 2012.

I would say more like  3600 of 3650 days. that would be 98.6% of the days.

There are some weeks which I wouldn't feel like making 25 posts but due to the bucks that Best_Change pays me I'll strife to complete my weekly requirement. This is the fate of most signature participants, or does it pay to shy away from the reality?

Listen, I understand what you are talking about, but this forum was not created for the reason that members earn money from signature campaigns, because in the first years they probably did not even exist. Many of us came to this forum (including me) without even knowing what a signature campaign was, and I have been a member since 2015. I only joined the first campaign when I became a full member, even though I had something in my signature even before that.

Just a note, I am not currently in a paid sig campaign.

You know what I find funny about some of these types of topics created and OPs?
It's just that they open the topic and then disappear and say nothing more.

It seems like that situation, which has happened to all of us, of someone calling our cell phone, we don't answer right away. And after 2/3 minutes we call back and no one answers. The idea remains that since no one answered, he throws his cell phone into the sea and disappears. Roll Eyes

OP opens this thread, questions are asked, it has been online, and so far zero responses. He must have thrown the topic overboard and forgotten about it. Cool

Speaking from the point of someone who first bought bitcoin when it was above $30k dollars and from the point of not wealthy individual. We cannot deny the fact that signature has a appreciable impact on the number of posts one makes a week.
Not talking about the ex chipmixer participants who make 50 posts per week. Not also talking about the current stake participants who make 100 posts per day, now talking about myself. There are some weeks which I wouldn't feel like making 25 posts but due to the bucks that Best_Change pays me I'll strife to complete my weekly requirement. This is the fate of most signature participants, or does it pay to shy away from the reality?

50 bucks a day tops, 350 a week. Make that 4 and it's 1,400 per month. That's like more than the average wage earners in developing countries, without the need to commute to work. No wonder many wanted in.

Why should the signature have anything to do with the number of posts? Those early adopters who mined with their computers or bought BTC at a price lower than $100 never needed to be in any signature campaign.

There was massive spam in the years before the merit system when some sig campaigns were even without a manager, everything was done by bots - you sign up, the bot accepts you, counts the posts at the end of the week and makes a payment. Those were really the years when spam flourished on the entire forum, now it's only a little camouflaged in some boards, but it's far from disappeared.

@Lida93 I'm sorry... but I really couldn't understand what the purpose of this topic is.

What do you intend? That people post the 5 legendaries they like the most? Which has more merits? Who are the longest in the forum?

  Huh
I also don't quite get the context of this post, it felt like he wants to call-out all those legendary members and post here to know about their merits and post activity? Or he want's us normal members to provide screenshot to Legendary members we knew that qualified the criteria.

Hi guys!
I was just going through the profiles of different legendary rank members in the forum. While admiring their achievements through the ranks, their numbers of posts, merits. And I felt wowed by their years of dedication to the forum. In my thoughts and out of curiosity I said to myself has other forum members ever pondered or wanting to know  a few legendaries rank members with the highest posts and merits in the forum. And how has the journey so far being for them in their achievements of such milestone.

Myself I currently have no knowledge of these supposed forum members and am curious same time excited to know, and am sure there are some others like me that would be eager to know too.  So please can forum members endeavor to post a screenshot of their profiles here to enable us acknowledge them. To avoid spamming I am limiting the number of legendary profiles to five (5) screenshots per post to enable us achieve the main aim/objective of this thread.

Aim:
* At least newbies and other  rank members like myself would be reminded of the time, energy, wealth of knowledge and dedication these legendary members have put in for the propagation and quality of the forum since the years.
* A way to show acknowledgement to all legendary rank members in the forum.
* That with determination, legendary rank is possible for anyone.

Although I myself have also even come to think of it as well because I don't see any thing meaningful attached to it, since a similar post have been raised by @bullrun2020bro which is not meant to be raised again. But let see what he would derived from it because every day by day we keep learning.

I don't know exactly what prompted you to come up with an idea like this, I hope you can focus more on improving your bitcoin knowledge, trading, and other more useful things as well.

Statistics are becoming easier for anyone to get because we don't lack tools. BPIP, Merit Dashboard and Ninjastic.space and Loyce.club can tell all about these statistics. If in fact the idea is to encourage newbies to have more motivation to reach Legendary, then I think they just need to increase their interest in forums and bitcoin.

We all know the top merit earners on the forum, it’s public information.
You can check the [CLUBS] Top Merited-Users Classified into 4 Clubs.
It sounds to me like what you want isn’t a screenshot of their profile but a interview to hear their experience being on the forum. There is already a thread to that effect Some users have shared their opinions on certain subjects on that interview. Others like fillippone have shared their story and given advice on how newbies can increase their rank.

Alright Lucius, I obviously get your point as it makes a lot of sense to me though I never thought about all of that. But then, what do you suggest I should do based on your what you have just said. Any hint would be appreciated!

If you are only interested in statistics about ranks and merits, then I suggest you visit BPIP (see the post by @tbct_mt2), and if you want to know more about an individual member, I suggest an individual approach by starting to read posts from those members that interest you.

There is one thread that might interest you, although it is not only about members with Legendary ranks.

Knowledge is at your fingertips, and it's completely free, whether it's a forum search engine, the BPIP project or some other similar projects that analyze all forum members in all possible ways. I don't see how screenshots of any profile would be of any use to you or anyone else. In addition, the fact that someone has a Legendary rank does not automatically mean that it means anything on the forum. There are members with that rank from before the merit system who would never have reached that rank if that system had existed from the beginning.

Check the animated chart created by @bitmover, which displays the merit earned by Bitcointalk members from 2018 until the present time. From there you can easily determine which of them belongs to the top 5 merit earners.

Posting each of their profile in the thread would be extremely cumbersome process, no?
