Yes the prices are very volatile and yes you can even incur heavy losses but if you know about the future trend then you may recover the losses by holding for some time.

Trading cannt provide fixed income, because in trading everytime will be loss or profit. However, for traders have understood price movement they are certainly keen and make them make better profits.
you can trade and earn some extra money but fixed income is different. even very experienced trader can lose big money at the trade.
