We have to stop taking Elon Musk seriously and sometimes ignore his tweets. He does such gimmiks to get attention of his followers and make them ponder. Or at times it is done intentionally to market his product or mission , for example consider Tesla's launch of MUV where he shattered the glass. It was for sure played well and was a way to male things viral. I am sure after all these years of interest in space exploration that Mars is indeed not flat and Earth like.

Space exploration has been going for many years now and there are both inactive and active mission on Mars which prove it is certainly not flat and similar to Earth. I have myself seen Mars with naked eye once when I wenr to a friend's place who has a super telescope which made possible to see till Saturn clearly. Elon is known to make wild out of blue tweets in order to grab attention and make fhe followers think. Dont take him literally always.

Elon Musk is known to be active on twitter with out of this world to know what the followers think and make them thinking more. I really dont think Mars is flat after soo many explorations and space missions. There are two rovers by mars already doing their work known as Curiosity and Insight by NASA. Other countries like China and India are too preparing for missions at Mars. Mars is certainly known to have life supporting atmosphere and is known to be Earth like but absolutely it is not flat.
