The excitement was very big, but so far they have only launched alpha version, which will work until the 2nd quarter of 2024, then there will be a beta version, where PoUW mining will possibly be tested.
At the moment this platform only supports coin mining, or in simple words it is Nicehash or Fluxhash

REQUIREMENTS FOR FLUX MAYHEM DECEMBER 15

Requirements for Flux Mayhem:
1. motherboard with x8 slots (minimum, ideally x16) gen3 - for each GPU
2. 4 CPU cores (threads) per GPU
3. RAM = 1.25*GPU_TOTAL_RAM - minimum. Ideally 4*GPU_TOTAL_RAM
4. A key indicator of a GPU is the amount of video memory.
5. Disks - NVMe + HDD (sizes not yet known)

Just like Bitcoin, Flux halves its block reward every 655,350 blocks. However, since one block is generated approximately every 2 minutes, the halving happens roughly every 2.5 years. The halving event has reduced the block reward from 75 to 37.5 FLUX.

It should be noted that Flux only rewards miners with half of the block reward. The other half is split between Masternodes, which means the current mining reward is 18.75 FLUX.

That is the same for every other coin including Ergo and Ravencoin although I agree they are somewhat better,in the longer term you only should keep Bitcoin in your wallet and no altcoins.I do this as although I am mining ETC right now I use pools that gives me payout in Bitcoin,that is the best one can do in these moments where the merge of Ethereum and ending of mining for it is imminent right now,we should all be prepared for some difficult days ahead but that we will pass them and then the sun will rise again for all us crypto lovers.

My first choice when eth will no longer be minable is etc of course there are also other alternatives such as ergo, ravencoin also flux is to keep in mind i have to see the performance of the gpu calibrated for eth if flux it does more profit than etc i will mine it

I can't say about others, they are probably going to say you should stick with Ethereum and Ethereum Classic but the fact is Flux is much more, not that ETH but other proof of work coins, I will choose Flux over Ravencoin, Ergo and ETC. This is just my own decision you are free to make yours.
