Looks like about less than 65 FLY where sold at Cryptopia, so that's good news I think.

Sorry about your loss, pokeytex, I hope you can recover all your coins, sincerely.

From the chat box in Cryptopia:

Tipbot: Rusher tipped the last 100 users 0.00000100 FLY each., Reason: shares at half price in Cryptopia

I wonder why?  :/

LOOK OUT PEOPLE - I HAD ALL OF MY COINS STOLEN TODAY.  THEY GOT 4100 OR MORE OF MY FLYCOINS - I AM SURE THEY WILL BE DUMPED AS THEY JUST DID WITH MY AMBERCOINS

What about your DMD? they didn't stole them?

I just visited Cryptopia and certainly I'm seeing 1746.98 FLY at 0.0016, so I'm assuming those are your coins, pokeytex.

Now that the coins are at Cryptopia, maybe if we link those coins to your original address, Then Cryptopia could freeze those coins having proof that those are stolen, am I right?.

These is the beauty of transparency Smiley  We can know where those coins come from, and not only that: we can now know who the thief is Wink

Well, Cryptopia can do that, not "we".

Yes. The answer is yes.

Is there a way to freeze your address via code? Maybe the three devs can do something about it?

As much as it sucks to see a community members coins stolen, this is a terrible idea and goes against everything crypto.  Let's see if we can find another way to help out rather than messing with the blockchain.

Sorry to hear that brother. Is that why everybody is asking for the admins in cryptopia chat? I will cancel my buy orders asap until this solves.

Hope you can get them back.

Hi all - been away from this thread (actually the previous thread - now locked) since forever, it feels like.
The drama back on the old thread was getting a bit too much for me to get stressed about so shut down my FLY wallet, and got on with RL stuff.
Been meaning to get back into FLY, but this is the first chance I have had.

I booted up the Windows wallet - V1.6.1 but it won't sync. I have now downloaded the latest version from the OP in this thread. Haven't installed it just yet. Will it overwrite the old QT or do I need to extract my wallet.dat to a safe place, and then delete the old wallet and replace with the new one entirely?

I think a lot has happened since I last staked FLY - my last stake was 17-11-15 - so is there anything specific I should know before starting the new wallet? I think I understand the NEW fees!

Do I have to claim my address again on the explorer?

Do I have to get in touch with whoever is running the new explorer to claim.

Are the rules for the SUPERFLY payments still the same? No outbound transfers and social media posting, after an explorer name claim?

Any help would be appreciated, as there is a lot to take in and I don't want to make any mis-steps  Smiley

we're 100% full PoS now. PoW was ~a month or so long

I like the Fly Lottery idea of kiklo.

How about a Fly Lottery with the ones who have less than 100 Fly and the name claimed?

For the ones who have few Fly and the name claimed would be like have a ticket on a weekly lotto... until they reach 100  Smiley

PS: The blockexplorer stopped at block 46113

Staked my first FLY today, gonna take me forever to get to the 100 FLY club...  Undecided

Have you considered not taxing the little guys on their staking?

Hmmm, now that is an idea. Maybe those who don't have 100 coins aren't taxed? Very good suggestion! All those that have above 100 the tax applies. I like it.

Not bad at all, but its heavy to code, no?

I am more for the feestructure we created now, because so we have no unfair behaviour against all holders; but I am also for a rewardsystem for the guys under 100 FLY!

I think, we will find a solution very soon. :-)

Statement:
The whole point to the fees & taxes were to create an anti dumping environment.
From Team Fly own posts , it  is apparent that the taxation system is not having the desired effect, that was originally hoped for.

Question:
What is the point to continuing with a tax based system that does not achieve the desired results?
Would it not be simpler to remove all of the taxes and fees , and look for other design criteria to try and achieve the desired results.

For example:
With all of the fees removed the coin could be used for commerce.
Here is something different, set your coin to give a 50% annual rate for 3 months, then 25% for 3 Months, then hold at 12.5% forever annual rate.
People would be insane to sell during the 50% & 25% rate, but some will , but without the taxes, it will be more desirable for new users.
Removing the fees will also allow you to not have to update the wallet every time someone needs an withdrawal exemption, that amount of busy work eats up time and resources. Plus less wallet updates, means less time waiting for the exchange to update their wallet.

Anyway a Free Suggestion , Take it or Leave it.

 Cool

FYI:
Instead of Fees & Taxes sending into Superfly
Have a once a week Fly Lottery using Fly to fund Superfly.
Example:
Winner receives a 25% of the fly received for the lottery and the 75% goes to superfly wallet.
or do 3 winners
#1 receives 15%
#2 receives 10%
#3 receives  5%
Plus if you wanted you could burn a % of the lottery to offset inflation.

I think finding a good way to reward those who are attempting to become part of the community is always a good idea.  For me, this was just something I noticed today after staking.   I don't have a lot of BTC to put into coins at the moment but I'm happy to help where I can and provide real input from a real (new) user.
