getting old this forum will be meaningless and not a guarantee to get money from this forum. You may have misunderstood how this forum works. I do get income from this forum, but to get it, it takes a struggle that is not easy. Grow the account over the years and then reach the highest Rank in a legitimate way.

If you are new to this forum, you have to be useful to this forum and have to be patient. Contribute to the forum so that you will understand how the forum works so that it can make money for you.

You goal should always be self improvement whatever your age, and you will find that the income will follow your skills improvement.
You're right, the main focus each user should do is increase knowledge. The new rank will not be deterred for those who are truly knowledgeable and apply it to their post. Knowledge will make us skilled and if this can be improved then I think it will be easy for them to move up the rank.

"If we want then we can", isn't this expression proven by most of the people who have the knowledge and skill now. I believe they were nothing before, but because they are optimistic and focused on gaining knowledge and improving themselves day by day, they are reaping the reward. It make sense to me that if we don't have knowledge and skill then we are after money, but on the other hand if we have knowledge and skill then money will catch up with us in various ways.

If you don't have focus, then all of the things that you are doing are nonsense.

Focus and dedication is what we need to have here in this forum, we don't work for ourselves only, but for other user here that wants to grow also.

Newbies are too greedy to have merit and they're just making post that is not deserving for a merit but still asks for it. If you are truly deserving to have a higher rank in this forum then it will come to you automatically. You don't need to aim on that, earning merits is not that easy so you need to work on it by making more informative posts and sharing your knowledge and thoughts towards a certain topic.

Yes. It should be necessary to have a focus in attaining our goals in life. And you are right, we are here to learn everything about crypto currencies and how they actually work to humankind. The thoughts of earning money while sharing some ideas and gaining back knowledge in this forum is really great. So, I must say that this is really helpful and much wiser if we should be persistent and willing to learn more so we could earn more as well.

Goal or gaol?

It seems many people are lured by the promise of easy money here, and their goal seems to be fast promotion until they can achieve a high revenue source for little effort. When they discover that they need to acquire knowledge, and provide benefit to the forum to achieve the heady heights, then they seem to thrash about creating low value posts, and hunting the net for inspiration. At this point Bitcoin Talk seems to become a gaol, and they are locked into hours of trawling through old threads, and social media comments in the hope that they can find something that will scratch a few merits.

What a waste of their resources. Bitcoin Talk provides a great opportunity to learn about the world of crypto, and once you have gained some knowledge, then you can use this to generate income beyond the dreams of avarice ( well maybe a few of you can ). You goal should always be self improvement whatever your age, and you will find that the income will follow your skills improvement.

Its gradually becoming a norm and it wouldn't help the forum grow. Most newbies give up after been active for long without a single merit to show for. Pls it would be better you encourage than making newbies feel its wrong to earn from this site.

If I may ask if you weren't earning would you still be active here?

If they give up that easily it's good as it take away another set of individuals that would had been constantly spamming the forum so they get the peanut they get paid for such acts. If you watch closely the forum has been in existence for a long time. We had users that were actively participating in the forum even when bitcoin wasn't in the mainstream media to be worth this much. The forum was built in passion and love for discussing bitcoin and not the monetary features we're benefiting today.

Don't see the forum as a money making platform if not it'll end up badly for you because you might be tempted into doing things that'll likely leave you a bad reputation or end you on the ban list. Engage in conversation and getting of merit won't be that hard. The conversation should be genuine though and not the copy and paste (obviously with source or summary) we see everyday from users hurting for merits in the forum.

I was actively participating on the forum for months/year without benefiting anything in regards to monetary value. I joined my first campaign when I was a full member but this day the new set of community users don't have the patience and zeal to learn they want the quick bucks which ends badly for them.

I strongly agree with you no body would venture into something that adds no value to them. I get to wonder why most old members get so upset each time a newbie request for ideas to grow their accounts so they too can earn no matter how small. Most high ranked members sees it as an avenue to attack the newbies with more concise replies to earn merits for themselves.

I have read so much thread asking on how could they earn from this forum, actually there is no wrong on asking about that, let us not be hypocrite we are all here to earn money and to gain knowledge.
Good for you that you also said "to gain knowledge" because I'm about to contradict you already Cheesy. But you know what? How sad that there are really existing members (especially the new created accounts) that just came here solely because of money. Right after they heard about sig campaigns and bounties, they suddenly jump here without knowing that it's not so simple. Tendency, they spam everywhere but I'm glad that such cases are now minimial due to Merit system. With this only the people with pure intentions will remain Smiley
This forum is applicable for gaining that both, that is what I like the most in this forum, Our earnings in this forum will come if we get old here, just focus on creating useful posts and creating information that will help people who will read your posts.
Just a reminder, don't stressed out yourself on earning merits. Just enjoy and do your part as a responsible member here and good karma will follow Smiley.

~snip~

Before earning anything on the forum, you should not only accumulate knowledge, but also learn how to apply it in practice in order to further help newcomers and to express constructive opinions in discussions. If your opinion or knowledge that you share will be liked by other users of the forum, you can get merits. In this way you will be able to raise your rank and participate in signature campaigns, but do not forget that the forum was created not for making money, but primarily to communicate and help newcomers.

Focus on process and not in results, those people are focusing in results have low chance of becoming successful. We should learn on how are we going to focus on process in order for us to achieve the goals that we we want to achieve. We cannot achieve our dreams if we will do not love the process.

let us not be hypocrite we are all here to earn money and to gain knowledge.
Users here knows that there is a money can be earn here. But lets be straight, If you really focusing on your goal which the definition clearly states that something we aim to achieve, why you are so pressing about hypocrisy. Not all here are using the forum to guide them on earning alone but there are others who using this forum instead of a cash cow but an environment where knowledge can be sought from. Money is just bonus, actually some doesnt need cause they have a lot.

If you're to actually "focus on your goal" and have contributions, quality ones to add to discussions on the forum, then it wouldn't be any business of yours if people are only concerned about how to earn or on ways they can make money through signature campaigns, you will just make your impact and rank up your own way, and that's what high ranked users who started with no merits did, I enjoin you to do the same.

It is too ironic to see you post on beginners and help, making dozens of threads, and motivating others yet it seems your threads wasn't that helpful enough. Why? Because there is a lot of thread similar onto this whereas most users have seen and most are already tired of replying. Soon you'll realize that focusing on your goal wouldn't be enough. Be practical. If you want to achieve it. Work it hard. and not post with redundant ideas. And 3 months from now posting and doing the same thing wouldn't give you any success. Hence, try another way to "share knowledge" instead.

Not all. So many users here still doesn't even joined signature campaign which is the most popular to earn money from forum. If you focus to earn money only instead of contributions then most likely you aren't going to achieved your goals here and I think you already realized here since you are the one who struggling. You know why 90% of forum users can't earn good from here except bounty and airdrop? Because their intentions of join on this forum just earn quick money and absolutely they are earning some dust as well. Rest 10% users are trying to contribute for forum and trying to learn from here. In a result this 10% users getting opportunities to earn a handsome money from forum.

Just forget about money and contribute your best knowledge & experience. On the other hand you have so many things to learn from here. Spend more time to read post here before you create any post.

We may use the forum just to ask about something specific in a subject or when we face issues. You would still be a guest [known type of newbies]. However, if someone wants to stay long here for a reason or another, the habit would change from asking or posting to reply a personal issue to spending much more time reading before thinking to post. You will not be a good forum user if you just hunt for money from day one.

You see the problem about this one is they would rather ask first rather then read something about it which only hints their only real purpose is to earn and not to "gain knowledge" about cryptocurrency. They aren't really here because they are interested about the Bitcoin they are here because they are interested in earning. With that in mind it will only lead them on having lower quality posts because they don't know any topic, posts only generic texts or what has been said before, and of course desperate for merits which you'll commonly find these days. If you don't focus on earning as well as gaining merits this will be obviously the start where you'll be having both of them.
