This is a very interesting idea , however i don't like the idea of a system in which everyone knows who everyone else voted for. Would it not be possible for for someone to win an election and then use this knowledge to hassle people that voted against them.

I thought people could see numbers but not identities. Doesn't this thing use Bitshares' TITAN for anonymous voting?

Yes, it will use TITAN just like every DAC that chooses to use the bitshares toolkit.  That means that users have privacy and the chain remains auditable by the public.  Hope this helps...this is my favorite DAC (Don't even care if it makes money...it changes the paradigm!)

something with a purpose is good for the crypto and bitshares community. i am not sure how everything will work, but i like the idea and hope it will take the votingsystems in the world a better solution.

5 days left if you want to claim your stake in BitShares Vote!

Holding BitShares PTS in your wallet or on Bter/BTC38 is the way to get in on this!

See OP and this picture for more information.

Is this DAC a pure public service, or is it meant to operate at a profit?

Every Dac that is using Bitshare is meant to operate as a profit for the shareholders

Can you explain how this one will accomplish this goal?

This is really interesting, but obviously something like this is not going to get used for national political elections anytime even remotely soon. Its good to be ambitious, but do you have any smaller example use cases in mind?

What's a GB?

Company elections for example, or some voting regarding what yoghurt flavour to introduce in the cafeteria.

I like strawberry, thanks!
