Why the only league that play in this day is only premier league and not other league like Liga, Bundesliga or serie A? 
because english teams have to play an extra cup competition unlike in the other European leagues, which I guess can be either the League Cup or the FA Cup. also there is higher attendances during the festive/holiday period
