This is true and back up plans are good to have, but what is the probability that Mbappe does not go to Real Madrid? I can't believe that is a possibility. For the other attacking players Real Madrid has great players, but when you say that Son has a style or way of playing that Real Madrid has in other players, wouldn't say you say that Mbappe also prefers to play on the wing over playing as a center forward? I still agree that Mbappe is also better than Son and the better fit for the center forward position, but I like him the most when he plays the Vinicius Junior position.

I think for now Mbappe's hopes still remain but indeed seeing some rumors that are starting to be crowded Son is also being monitored to fill the void for Madrid's attack line but seeing from his condition Son is still not suitable if he is functioned as a pure striker because his position is more as a runner type on the side of the field but if Madrid really wants this player I think it's still very good because even though he is currently over 30 years old but Son's speed is still unquestionable.

Son to Real Madrid doesn't really fix their players. Son is not a striker, they need someone like Mbappe to help them with scoring, but even if that's not the case, someone like Kane, Haaland, basically a superstar striker whose pure goal is to score goals basically, that's what they need.
