It makes absolutely sense to compare these two players because it can give a ball park as they are very similar in many regards. First and foremost their age and the fact that Leao has a long contract duration. Their performance level is similar although Osimhen has been a bit better last season. But they also have different jobs on the pitch. Leao is the guy who uses the wing position to create space for the center forward, to pull players out of the box and then play the decisive pass whereas Osimhens primary task is to score. Having 31 scorer points in 46 games in Serie A + Champions League is amazing as a wing player. As a comparison, we have Vinicius Junior with 45 games and 32 scorer points in La Liga + Champions League in 22/23. This is the category Leao is in.
