I wouldn't say Chelsea made a mistake signing Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, they are both excellent midfielders that any manager would wish to have in their side, and they are also very young, Enzo is 22 years old, whilst Caicedo is 21, thus they are for the present and the future (if they decide to stay in Chelsea for the long term).

What i don't agree with is the signing fee for these players, it is definitely ridiculous and far above what their valuation should be, but i guess it is what it is, the transfer market these days is a joke, so much money being thrown around on players that don't even merit it.

Todd Boehly is a businessman who likes to invest in buying players based on data as he did at the LA Rodgers baseball club he owns. The players bought by Chelsea are headed in that direction even though the purchase price looks expensive, but that's how Boehly runs his club, he sees the opportunity for these players to get a return on their investment in the future. We can also see this when last season appointed Graham Potter as a coach, who at Brighton often used potential players who later became good players with high selling values. Boehly hopes Potter will do the same at Chelsea to make the club excel in the hope of making a profit. from the results of his investment, but in reality he failed. And now Todd Boehly is also making the same mistake by buying expensive players who can't develop quickly. Chelsea should have learned from last season's experience but sadly he didn't.

For me, Chelsea's carelessness is that they don't see which players are needed for the team, but the purchases are only to break player records. This club is connected to every player, so yet Manchester United's transfer dealings aren't officially over yet. The club looks like confused, and the manager, Erik ten Hag, unsure about what he's doing now. I used to think he had a plan, and there are certain things he's probably considering. The club might have other choices, but looking extending their options. Anyway, if this turns out to be true, it would be quite a surprising move. He's really underrated and made a big impact on the game when he came on.

Well the left back role is one which Manchester needs to strengthen, either for  a permanent transfer or a loan deal, they've  had their key players in that role injured and would need a serious replacement while the work on strengthing other roles as well, and if you noticed in the match against Nottingham Forest,  the opposition team kept pressing from Dalot wing cause they knew its not his preferred role and he was playing out of position, so Manchester needs to act fast so Arsenal won't take advantage of that role in their next match.
 So far their are several players Erik is eyeing for that role and he's listed Cucurella, Marco s Alonso, and Sergio Reguillon as his options to replace Shaw  but lately there's another name being rumored that Ten Hag is really interested in getting which is Nicolas Tagliafico who's worked with him at Ajax.

Ten Hag should be very careful with his choice of players, the team under his watch now is good but he needs to add more defenders, the Left back is an issue. And one centre Defender it's okay for this team.
 They're are young good defenders out there for Ten Hag to buy and not Cucurela, the Manchester United fans don't want any more players from Chelsea after Mason Mount.

Well lately I see Ten Hag is very busy with the transfer of several players who are on his radar, yes I quite agree with you that Manchester United now still has a good and strong midfielder, as you said they still have great strength and still have great balance in midfield, and Ten Hag should be thinking about what he needs more. That seems quite excessive and is clearly a waste if they spend money on players they don't really need. The Premier League has just started and maybe Ten Hag wants something significant for his squad by adding a lot of strength and also spending a lot of money this season. Regarding their relatively weak defense, now I hear the latest rumors that Ten Hag is eyeing a player from Barcelona, namely Marcos Alonso, to fill the back line, and it is reported that they have received the green light from Barcelona regarding the agreement. I wouldn't say Chelsea was stupid or Inter was smart because Lukaku was worth for such big amount at that time, Chelsea was making mistake, but this kind problem has to way to know if Lukaku will not able to play in Chelsea as good as he used in Inter.

Old barcelona will be revived in MLS as beckham is trying to get more and more former of barcelona players to join on its club. Pique shall become a good choice for the club or even dani alves. It's possible for the players who already announced retire from football to make their comeback again as players. Gerrard pique is still healthy and he can still play football. I don't know, but I wouldn't call it an impressive track record. He has had some good times, but he also sat on the bench many games and he is going to turn 33 years of age this year. It's true, Marcos Alonso will leave and seek new challenges in his career. If he does join Manchester United, of course it will be a big step for him. Alonso has an impressive track record and a player of his caliber is sure to be in demand at many good clubs.
