You’re getting this thing all entirely wrong. Here is an explanation; Mbappe’s contract ends next season which makes him a free agent. A free agent doesn’t pay any transfer fee to any club since he doesn’t has any club under his profile then. As for now he is still contracted to PSG and that is why they wish to sell him this summer so as not to lose him for Fred next season, since he doesn’t want to renew his contract or extend the one year option included in it. Why PSG are furious is because next summer they will have to pay him an agreed amount for seeing off his contract couple with the fact that they won’t get a dime as fee

Haaland and Mbappe have technically the same natural positions maybe. However Mbappe can play as a winger as well. He is actually not a simple winger or centre-forward even if we see him in those positions in the lineup. Because he is playing much bigger than his position. He is taking big responsibilities in the attacking area. I'm just wondering how it could be to see Haaland and Mbappe at the same team. These are both very valuable world stars at the moment.

Quite interesting to hear about Hojlund being worth that much. To be fair I have never heard of him before this transfer deal and I am sure more hardcore fans knew about him way before, so I am just a casual fan, don't really know many players from Atalanta. However, the reality is that we are talking about a situation where a player that is not known by casuals like me being worth a 70 million deal. In any case, I hope they find whatever they are looking for in him, I always thought Rashford was good enough as a striker and did alright, wasn't any rush to find anyone like this, but if they believe he will be good then they believe it will be good, that's all that matters.

Firstly, you wrote incorrect information about the transfer of a player who is a free agent (do you know exactly how this happens?).
Secondly, 250 million is not the "full" cost of the player for the buyer and seller. If PSG don't sell Mbappe then they continue to pay him a huge salary + pay a loyalty bonus + greatly worsen their position in the FFP. Thus, for PSG, the presence of Mbappe in the team for another year means minus 100-150 million. It is obvious that any buyer understands the difficulties of PSG and want to benefit from this.

As it is his market value have dropped drastically if not so, I don't see why West Ham would have the nerves to drop £20m for a player Manchester United paid a huge sum to get from Leicester.
