Tchouameni was bought for 80 million? He only managed to score 3 goals in Monaco, and he didn't score any goals in the real world, I think? I read that Liverpool wanted to buy him, but is it crazy to buy a player who does not score for such money?

It's a very strange policy for a club. For example Asensio. Real do not want to pay 6 million salary for Asensio, but they are ready to throw away 80 million for Tchouameni, even though Asensio scores even when substituting and now Assencio has signed a contract with PSG until 2027. By the way, PSG got such a player for free.

€80 million was deemed excessive for a player who has yet to make a name for himself in the football world. Aurélien Tchouameni is a young footballer with a lengthy career ahead of him. Despite his inabilities to score goals, he served crucial purposes for the club. He's sensitive, and while he's at his best in some games, he falls short in others. Carlo Ancelotti will give him more playing time next season to be able to test him in more difficult scenarios. One thing I appreciate about the player is his ability to attack opponents and build the strength to match up one on one with players.
Maybe Real Madrid has another perspective on why they wanted to buy Tchouamni at that price and of course Real Madrid always looks at players from a long-term perspective and because of that they have started to regenerate since a few seasons ago from various sides. Real Madrid are well aware of what they want from Tchouameni and with the cool hands of the coach slowly this player will also be able to develop.

Tchouameni is a box to box player and although he plays as a defensive midfielder, he often helps out in attack. Next season will be the busiest part of Real Madrid and it is certain that the new arrivals will start a new era at Los Blancos.

The news on Goal.com says that there is a chance for Real Madrid to sign Bayern Munich youngster (22) Alphonso Davies this summer. It is said that some contract talks have been held with him by Bayern Munich lately but there is still nothing certain if he will extend with them. It looks like Real Madrid look for strengthening their left-back so Davies can be a really nice improvement.

Besides Davies is quite a versatile player at the same time. In addition to his natural position he can play as left midfielder and left winger also when there is need. He is one of the important parts of Bayern Munich currently so it might not be easy for Real Madrid to convince his team. His market value is €70m while there are still 2 more years on his contract too.

Aside from that Davies seems okay to sign for Real Madrid if he gets an offer. He admires Real Madrid's big success in the Champions League.  Smiley

There must be an atom of validity in this news honestly. Personally, if I was Davis, I already won all it takes at bundesliga, give me good reasons why I shouldn't explore. Playing for Real Madrid is every players dream and he is also worth playing for the club.
The new coach Thomas Tuchel might have some changes and upgrade to, so it'll be best he makes the move now. Real Madrid shouldn't focus on that position just alone, they should take good look at the right wing honestly, Dani Cavajal does needs challenge from a much younger player.

Davies shouldn't miss out on this opportunity, he can also play both the right win. I think finally they've found a replacement for Marcelo.
Davies is out of contract in 2025, and Real Madrid have been linked with a move to next summer, taking advantage of that expiring contract, if no deal gets done. Bayern Munich have signed Rafael Gurreiro on free transfer from Borussia Dortmund, so I’m thinking they’ll allow Davies leave in the summer. Also Thomas Tuchel’s future as manager is unclear, despite being in the job less than six months, and the period of potential transition could persuade Davies to push for a move to Real Madrid.

Bellingham's deal is done?

Huge move by Real, he will be one of the best midfielders in world football for the next 10+ years.

They now have 4 midfielders with huge potential (Bellingham, Tchouameni, Camavinga and Valverde) and are ready to start replacing their senior midfielders.
I'm glad that Modrić will be staying for another year - he deserves it. Not sure they will keep Kroos now, though.
This can be a good asset especially the 2 players there too (Valverde and Camavinga) now their positions can be flexible wherever they are placed and this can be another advantage for Madrid.
Now with conditions like this they just have to do their best because with the current midfield the coach obviously has several options now in the scheme to run. Now they have to focus on strikers.

Yes Dortmund is indeed used to it and have been going through this a dozen of times by now I guess, but they have been doing an impressive job at finding replacements for these super talents. Financially this has been paying off for them for a very long time now, but I understand when they think that they are still facing a loss in terms of the quality of their team and the upcoming season. Once you see that someone has integreated perfectly into the existing team, it would be preferable to keep him if possible. But that is how the business goes. Bellingham won't be the last young super talent that they have to let go.
This trend has been something they have done from previous seasons where Dortmund always make big profits in the transfer market because they sell their star players to other teams. Even for bellingham he is a player who is quite influential for dortmund this season but Management still sells him in order to get income.

From the other side it is true that Dortmund can find the right replacement figure if one of their players goes to another team in the transfer market. For that I don't think they will be strong enough to win the Bundesliga trophy if they do the option to sell star players but that is their tradition.

The sad truth is that Dortmund has no choice but to sell those players. If they decided to not sell and instead keep the player until the contract expires, it would not be sustainable for Dortmund at all in the long run. It is almost like consolation money when they have to let their best players go but at the same time earn record breaking transfer fees in the Bundesliga. I was just going through a thought experiment and tried to remember which players they had to let go in the past that then became world class in other teams. There are quite a lot of those players and nobody can tell where Dortmund would be today if they were able to keep those players and convince them of a future with Dortmund. But the offers from abroad are often too tempting.

Zinedine Zidane has once again rejected Paris Saint-Germain's offer as the French champions look to replace Christophe Galtier at the helm.
https://www.goal.com/en/news/psg-approached-zinedine-zidane-over-replacing-christophe-galtier-but-former-real-madrid-boss-turned-french-champions-down-for-the-second-time/blt29f406b7d0e60ba6

It doesn't even matter how many times PSG tried to approach zidane to be a new coach and the result will always be the same. I see no hope for PSG to get him. PSG seems very ambitious to get him as a new coach for the club yet zidane reject it again.
It seems like that the possible thing for PSG to sign naglesman at this moment but yeah this guy is not having very good track record like zidane.

Im willing to see who will become alternative coaches to be signed by PSG in the future. We can remove zidane from the list of potential coach that will be signed by PSG.
I see no hope for PSG to sign him. Zidane was always rejecting PSG so many times.

But I would even say that this is embarrassing if you can't get Zidane as a coach for the team of the main city of his home country. Zidane probably shares the opinion that many people have. The league isn't competitive and if you won the Champions League with Real Madrid and the La Liga title against Barcelona, why would you want to find yourself coaching PSG? That team is a step back and it doesn't matter how many superstars they have. I mean I think they have already reached the maximum with Messi, Neymar and Mbappe and even Ramos. There isn't much more you can do and yet they were without a chance against Bayern Munich. Zidane knows that. If he accepts an offer he can only lose. Winning Ligue 1 and Coup de France doesn't count for PSG's management. But I would like to know which clubs Zidane would accept an offer from.

There was a new update. It seems like that PSG was not sending a negotiation to the zidane. There have been so many fake news. it's very hard to determine which was true but the thing that makes me feel curious is with the confimation that came by romano and it seems like that PSG was not even willing to sign zidane as a new coach. This becomes even more non sense since zidane has so many good achievements in the past and PSG is not willing to trust him as a new coach.
It seems like that if PSG knew zidane will not be interested on its offer or what?

PSG is seriously in talk with naglesmann to be a new coach. I don't even what's wrong with this team. It's always refusing to sign a good coach to rebuild the club.
Zidane has a lot of experience to make it happen. PSG can at least
The situation around PSG and Zidane indeed leaves one scratching their head! Zidane, with his array of accomplishments, appears to be a perfect fit for any team wishing to ascend in the football hierarchy. Yet, for reasons as clear as mud, PSG doesn't seem to be keen on bringing him aboard.

Football news can often be a mess. In this cacophony of transfer rumors and coaching news, we must learn to separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to media outlets. It is absolutely crucial to ascertain the reliability of a source before taking the news at face value. Because, in the end, even the best of us can be led astray by fake news.

Well Messi is probobly full of playing football and just wants to have fun a little and earn a lot more money in the last years of his football career. After he won the world cup he dosent have to win anything so there isnt anymore motivation for him to play at the top quality level as before.

It is pretty obvious, that all those transfers that are happening in the last 2 years or so of very big and very famous players to clubs from leagues that are absolutely irrelevant in the world of football are only happening because those players can earn a ridiculous amount of money there. I mean those players have earned between 15-25 Million € per year before too at least, but now at those clubs they can get ten times of that per season which is just crazy.
A single one of those players is earning more money there in one season of playing for a club that is absolutely irrelevant than a whole village of engineers and doctors will earn in their whole life.

In Inter Miami, he got a contract for 3 years with a payment of 50 million a year, not bad at all.
Actually Messi really wants to return to Barcelona, the financial problems that are currently befalling Barcelona have prevented them from bringing Messi back to Camp Nou. Not being able to get Messi back was a failure for Barcelona, but on the other hand Barcelona still have luck because Ilkay Gundogan has agreed to join Barcelona. Gundogan and Barcelona have even verbally agreed to a three-year contract, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo Barcelona will announce Gundogan transfer after the Champions League final.
I really think Messi shouldn't have made a move to Inter miami, and should have moved to Premier league instead to make history in the premier league as well.Christiano Ronaldo has played in almost the three major leagues in Europe, Bundesliga,English premier league and Lalliga which he made history in almost all those leagues.Messi is a star we all know, and his coming to premier league would have been a massive boost to EPL.Neverthess, let's wait to see the kind of record he will create at his new club.

At his current age, maybe he can already determine which direction he should go and Messi must have a clear goal or maybe he wants to get a bigger fee to enjoy on his retirement day.
But not sure if it's true but I really believe messi will set a new record in his current team.

I think not any personal verbal agreement reached between Barcelona and İlkay Gündoğan, actually Manchester City success signing Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovačić will replace position leaving İlkay Gündoğan but still not confirm yet which one team will play next season. Not only Barcelona but also Arsenal and PSG has announced interested for signing İlkay Gündoğan next season.

Arsenal may be the best option for İlkay at first glance. Arteta is Pep's former student. If he transfers to Arsenal, he will not have any tactical problems. But that means he was transferred from the champion team to the second team. This is a tough choice. That's why he might consider leaving the Premier League. And for that reason PSG might be a good option for him. As a result, he can play for a few more years in the top leagues in Europe. He showed everyone that he can do this with his performance in the last matches. I think Manchester City made a mistake by not offering him a 2 or 3 year contract. When they lose İlkay, they will understand his value more.

The sad part is Bellingham can become a bench player next season.
Look at Tchouameni. He was bought for 80 million Euros and he has been on the bench for Madrid and is even planning on leaving during this transfer window. There are tones of young players that have been highly rated like that but didn't have anything to show for it. A few even won the best young player of the year award.
Monaco even had a balon d'or clause to Martial's deal when they sold him to Manchester United because he was that good. So predicting that a 19 year old player going to Madrid would be among the best midfielders in the world for the next 10+ years is reaching. Very few players go to Madrid at such a young age and turn out to be the best in their position.
Now it depends on performance whether he can show what Madrid expects or not because if he doesn't then it will be very difficult for his future.
But on the other hand I still feel that in this case Madrid will try to give him hours to adapt to be better, the reason is simple, Kroos and Modric are getting older and indeed now is the right thing to give some young players a chance with their current condition.
I agree with this because only a good performance can save themselves from Madrid because when it is not then it is very difficult especially since Madrid can also still be said to be one of the clubs that is quite assertive especially with poor performance.
Many examples of those who fail to perform well are always reserves even for a long time and in recent seasons of course Mariano and Hazard are one example.
On the other hand, it is possible that this season there must be rejuvenation for the Madrid squad because as you say the age of Kroos and Modric is no longer young now and of course looking at the current conditions with Tchouameni, Jude and Valverde it can still be for midfield. as for the wing line there are already Vini and Rodrygo there is only a matter of seeing the attacker or targetman this time who will be the choice.

City have agreed personal terms with Chelsea's Kovacic, but the deal isn't done yet because Chelsea and City haven't discussed on the transfer fee yet, they'd do that after the CL final, having said that i don't think City want Kovacic to be a direct replacement for Gundogan because there is an offer on the table for him, one he might agree to after the CL final tomorrow.

Barcelona have not opened any talks with Gundogan and his agent yet, they will have to wait until after the CL final, then Gundogan will make a decision to either stay or leave, that is when talks can take place if he decides to go.
I think Manchester city are focused on the UCL final for now. But After the Champions League final, Manchester City will have to negotiate the transfer fee with Chelsea, since he has already agreed personal terms with them. So it wont be difficult to reach an agreement, as Kovacic has only one year left on his contract and is also expendable for Mauricio Pochettino. Honestly, Kovacic toManchester city is a very scary deal. I don’t think you people are ready to see Kovacic under pep. He’s a Ball retention demon. Manchester city ball retention is about to multiply, and I doubt other teams would still find their way to the top this time around.

No one can know in soccer ten years ahead, that's too much. How many young players have had hope and then, like Bojan Krkic, disappeared somewhere in the lower leagues.
The competition in La Liga is higher than in the Bundesliga, so it won't be easy for Bellingham.
He is only 19 years old and has played only 2 seasons at a serious level and scored 8 goals a season, which is not much.

As if it was not then with Naby Keita, whom Liverpool bought for 50 million pounds, and after 5 years he leaves as a free agent not really needed.

Declan rice already expected to be a replacement for Xhaka that will be leaving from the club. The problem is westham demanding 120 millions for rice while arsenal has not yet agreed. Arsenal has been sending an offer for him which was around 90m. Westham has been taking final decision regarding it. In my opinion that if westham can decrease rice's price. I heard that if manchester united is trying to join in the competition to get rice from westham.
Now Declan Rice is rumored to be a candidate to replace Xhaka. Xhaka's departure will indirectly throw Arsenal off balance in their midfield, Declan Rice is said to be the right candidate to fill Arsenal's void, considering Declan Rice's position is in the same position as Xhaka. It is certain that West Ham will not easily let go of Declan Rice considering he is one of the professional players and at the same time a key player for David Moyes' squad. And recently I heard shocking news, several members of the media stated that Declan Rice had made a statement and clarified various rumors about him. He has denied these rumors and has not confirmed rumors that he will go to Arsenal or Bayer Munich. Rice said that it was just speculation that is not clear. After hearing this statement, it means that there is no green light given to Arsenal or Bayern Munich.

Basically, West Ham is right now in a good position to ask for a huge amount of money for Declan Rice. Didn’t know that Arsenal is going to really look for him to be in the team. So Arsenal will also agree to pay a good amount of money for him. But how big is that? How big a price is Arsenal ready to pay?

The money which West Ham is asking is certainly a little too high in my opinion. But at the same time, Declan Rice can be a great player for Arsenal. But of course, for that, the player will have to agree to go to Arsenal. Which the player is currently denying. So now the question arises that whom will Arsenal cheese if they cannot get Declan Rice?

Sometimes there are bad transfers (even seemingly reliable ones like Hazard's transfer), but this does not mean that transfers should not be made or that one should think about the worst option. I'm glad that Real bought Bellingham and I think he will do well - he has chosen the right team. Real Madrid are ready to spend 400m and even with spending on Bellingham and (potentially) Kane there is still 200m "unallocated". Much will depend on how they are spent. But now I already have optimism about the next season.

Do you have a source for that agreement between Gundogan and Barcelona? As I see it it is still four clubs trying to sign him. Dortmund was ruled out as they themselves called it unrealistic and I agree. There is no reason to go to Dortmund for him yet. Maybe in two years from now. It seems that Arsenal, PSG, Barcelona  and Manchester City are trying to get him under contract and he is in a great position as a free agent. This is going to be the best year of his life financially Wink

But whatever happens, he has two or three years to go at a very high level. I don't hope he is going to play for PSG. At best he will stay in the Premier League and maybe Barcelona could be a good option. I've never seen him play better and would actually like to watch him compete with the best.
